Question about Dell Inspiron 5100 Laptop
I am having problems turning on my laptop. It states, "No bootable devices. Strike F1 to retry boot; F2 for setup utility.
Please advice on what can be done to do a quick fix.
Why are we still seeing problems from 5 years ago? And why are people commenting on them when the person with the problem has probably been through 3 laptops since then?

Maybe download linux ubuntu and run os from the cd and see if it works if it does then you need to buy a new hard drive

With no bootable devices, there is no quick fix. It sounds like your hard drive has died on you. Best to buy a new hard drive and re-load.

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
