Well first of all you need to test your internet connection. You can do this by going to your wii settings, scroll to the second page of settings and click on "internet". This will give you an option to select an internet profile. Choose 1, 2 or 3 and then "wireless" and then search for an access point. Choose your internet connection, if it is secured you will need to provide a password. Afterwards it will attempt to test your connection and maybe update your system.

Internet running slow

If your internet is running slow you should make sure that your NAT is open and for faster speeds try to be hooked up through an ethernet cable instead of a wireless connection.

For help on how to open up your NAT, try this link.

Just bought my kids a ps3 but we cannot figure out how to connect it to the internet?

Any of the two will work it all depends on preference. If the modem or router is too far from the console then you would most likely want to go wireless. Here are instructions how to do each:
WIRELESS (WIFI):
Step 1: Turn on the PS3
Step 2: Once on main menu go to settings and under settings select "Network Settings"
Step 3: Select "Internet connection settings" if prompted that you will be disconnected from the internet select "Yes".
Step4: Select "Easy" on types of installation.
Step 5: Select "Wireless" to choose what kind of internet connection you want.
Step 6: Select "Scan" to search for internet access points.
Step 7: Select your home connection when the screen comes up with all the found access points. If your home Internet access point requires a password enter the password when prompted and save your settings.
Step 8: Test the connection to check if you configured your settings right if successful you are good to go. If not go back and check your connection settings for your home internet access point. You are now connected to the internet!
HARDLINE (Wired): Must connect ethernet cable to PS3 before turning it on!
Goes like this: Arrows are the cable (===>)
Internet Line ===>Router ===>PS3
Step 1: Turn on the PS3
Step 2: Once on main menu go to settings and under settings select "Network Settings"
Step 3: Go to "Internet Connection" and select it to Enable it.
Step 4: Select "Internet Connection Settings"
Step 5: Select "Internet connection settings" if prompted that you will be disconnected from the internet select "Yes".
Step 6: Select "Easy" on types of installation.
Step 7: PS3 will automatically check your connection network setup and set the settings for you.
Step 8: The settings will appear and press x to save the settings.
Step 9: Test your connection if it was successful you will see succeeded nest to "Obtain IPAddress" and "Internet Connection" you are now connected to the internet!

I need help hooking up my ps3 to the internet how do you do it?

Ok to do this follow these steps:
1. Go to Network Settings and click it. (Its in the tab Settings. It looks like a Briefcase) 2. Go to Internet Connection and change it to -Enable- 3. Go to Internet Connection Settings. 4. Now choose Easy so it does most of the work for you. 5. If you have wireless internet go to #8. If wired continue following the list. 6. Connect you internet cord to the back of you Internet Modem enabling the internet flow. 7. If all works right you can Connect to the Internet. Do a Internet test to check if Done Right. 8. For wireless internet go to "Scan" 9. Choose your wireless internet source. 10. It'll popup with The "SSID" dont mess with it. just click to the Right on the D-Pad. 11. Now its asking about WLAN security settings. If you have a password to the internet i recommend "WPA-PSK / WPA2-PSK" if no password select none. 12. WPA Key is a fancy way of it asking for the Password. Enter it now by selecting the glowing Box. 13. It will check the password to see if it is correct, Then Show a list that is from the internet. Choose Enter. "Press X" 14. Now test the connection. 15. After the test go Back. Way to go you have internet. Have fun gaming, using Netflix, and going on FaceBook.

To get the internet better hook up a cable going from your internet box and plug it into the back of the ps3. its probably good to get a guy in to do that but then the internet will be stronger!

I try to log onto pogo and it comes up Internet explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close

Try Restoring Your Settings.
Once the internet is open, you will then want to go to the "Tools" Menu, in the internet window. If you are using internet explorer 7 the tools menu is on what is called the Menu bar, and this menu bar generally is in the upper left hand corner.

Once you click the Tools Menu, then select, internet options then click on internet options to go into the internetoptions dialog box.

Once you have selected the internet options click on the advanced taball the way to the right. Once you have selected, advanced at the bottom right there is an option there to RESET, thiswill restore the default settings, of your internet explorer Browser

Then Close And Reopen Internet Explorer
