When you format your computer it deletes everything in the system.If your audio driver is missing then you have to download another.

No sound


For no sound, if you have the cd driver of your motherboard then re-install it to update and fix the hardware error. If you do not have the cd driver, you have to read your motherboard brand and model then download the driver from their official with compatible audio driver to your operating system. If you installed it properly but still the same no sound, try to remove the battery on your motherboard for about 10 seconds then put it again the battery then turn on your computer then press F2 or DEL key to change the system date and time. Check for audio again and still no audio or no sound then format your computer but you must back up your data or files first because when formatting it will erase the entire data or files within that partition. Since my computer was formated I lost my audio


you need a driver for your computer but you need to know your product brand name and model type them in google and add the word drivers to them and install the audio driver that comes up

Ask your computer vendor to provide the appropriate driver disk ...then try installing the driver once again..

I can't hear the sound after formatting the computer


Hi dear,

1- You have formated the the hard disc and install OS again.
Therefore
you have to install AUDIO (sound) driver.
you can use audio driver disk or motherboard disk which was come with motherboard.

or you can install sound driver from the internet.

I want to format my computer but i don't have driver cd


Before formatting download all the drivers or your devices from the manufacturers websites. Save them to a cd or dvd to use after the format. Hope this helps.

go on this link, select your product and download the drivers, or if you are using the computer you need the driver for, click on the link and click start detecting

It will detect your computer and guide you to the correct drivers

Foxconn sound card drivers


same problem
I formatted my hard drive and reinstall windows xp but no sound comes from speakers I tried to install audio drivers from the motherboard CD "foxconn" but PCI driver can not be installed what should i do?
