I purchased a Samsung 747 Slm from AT&T and the sound is at 7, and how can I get better sound. Also the speaker sound needs to be louder. Is there a seperate setting to adjust the sound.

most amps have watchdog circuits that monitor current draw, temperature, and speaker impedance (not just resistance (ohms) because in an ac circuit it fluctuates). make sure you have solid power, ground, and trigger (remote turn on). check the impedance of your speaker(s) and follow the recommendations in the manual. many people want to twist all their speaker wires together and "bridge" the amp to make it "louder". This is NOT the case. Many times running speakers in series and NOT bridging the amp provides better, cleaner, sound. i won't go into wave propagation, rf theory, and system design in this answer but it is actually quite complicated. hope this helps.
With four plug you will have a jumper from on plug to the other. (e.g. Positive to positive and negative to negative.) This is for single connection (two wires.) If you use two connections (four wires) you take out the jumpers. the bottom pair is normally for the bass and the top for treble. This is to make the speakers clearer, and sound better. As for louder,? I don't know some people think it does some don't. With better clarity of sound, you do get the feeling of it being louder.
You need to purchase a better sound card for your machine. http://www.google.co.uk/search?q=sound+card&hl=en&tbs=shop:1&aq=f#q=sound+card&hl=en&safe=off&tbs=shop:1,p_ord:p&sa=X&ei=FmlyTa2mAYKXhQexotkw&ved=0CAoQuw0oAQ&fp=3ae27606703de1d6
It is likely that the amp is flat topped at the 7 setting. When the amp is producing the maximum voltage output it is capable of, that is ALL you can get out of it... The numbers on the dial mean NOTHING and are only relative. If you have high output guitars you might find the maximum might only be 3 on the dial for example...
If you need it louder, get a bigger amp and speakers. You should ALSO get a sound meter and follow OSHA guidelines for sound exposure... I know several musicians that now are nearly deaf because of being exposed to high sound levels... their music careers are now gone as they can no longer hear well enough. You need to protect your hearing for the long term. Great musicians don't need loud, but quality and inovation in their music.
Depends on the manufacturer of the premium sound system.I replaced my premium stereo(JBL) with pioneer mids and highs and yea they were a heck of a lot louder and the sound was like brighter and better all around but i put in a new deck and had a amp running them so i dont know if that helps you.
Your advice has solved my problem and I am advising the store from which I purchased my TV so that future customers may be better informed,
Please convey my thanks to roek (Eric)

sorry bad kuck,
no software will increase the sound for more then a short time before you damage the speaker.
It is only rate at a few mW, and will not cope with more energy.
The KS360 is an entry level phone.
There are other phones that have much better sound systems then this one.
Go to www.samsung.com, go to their support page, search for "SLM", and they'll give you a link where you can get the manual. (I did it a minute ago, and tried to include the URL except it's a really long and messy one. You'll have better luck if you navigate to the page as described above.)
