Question about Wurlitzer Jukebox CD Player

1 Answer

Hey Dave I have a problem with a Wurlitzer model 1015. If I turn it on in normal mode it just takes a CD and after few secs put it back, without playing it.... In service mode I can make it test the arm, the player, and enter other lvls of the service modes, BUT I can´t seem to figure out how to tell it how many CD´s is in the changer... I have and follow the service manual but might as well be reading toilet paper... As they are both full of S**t :-D Hope you can help me a bit. Yours Sincerly The Frustrated repair man :-D

Sorry I have only just seen this question. I'm not sure the problem you describe is related to how many CDs it is set for. If it puts the CD down and tries, but wont play it it's usually the laser unit. But...

To set the number of CD's in the carousel.....
Service switch on.(on computer)
Press LT (on computer)
press 5 (on keyboard)
enter xx00 (on keyboard) where xx is number of CDs.
service switch Off
Press LT

Faulty CD player or faulty control pcb under the laser unit. That's assuming it is not spinning at all until ages after it has put the Cd down.

Wurlitzer 3600 series wont select a record ?

If the buttons don't latch in, the machine is not in credit. Put on free play or put some money in.

.You can if you ue a "background music adaptor" which allows a second source of music to be played through the amp.

Arrange the volume of your jukebox without using the remote

In earlier models you plugged either the remote box OR the volume control box into the same socket on the amp. If you still have the volume control box simply plug it in where the remote is plugged in.

Wurlitzer 1800 jukebox, plays record but at end the arm does not lift so record does not reject until I press the reset button and then it works.

If the normal cancel button is working then take a look at the tone arm trip switch, which probably just needs adjusting. You can test this by flicking it with your finger when a record is playing. If it works it just needs adjusting to trip at the right place on the record.
The trip switch is located behind the fat end of the cobra tone arm on the back side of the arch, so you get to it by taking the machine back door off.
