How do i reboot my acer aspire 5315 laptop and i have already tired the f10 trick and pressing alt and f8 not working how do i do it can someone help me please

Maybe you can try a system restore. If you are still running the pre-installed OS, press one of the following keys to start system restore. (Depends on which model you have)

• ALT+F10
• ALT+F8
• FN+F8
• FN+F10

Do this when you see the Acer boot screen. Hope this will help.

Set the recovery option in the bios to Enabled, exit bios, press ALT + F10 when acer logo appears. Restore will run from the hidden partition on the drive. Let me know how that goes..

Just after pressing Power button try to press and hold FN+F10 if this does not work try FN+F11, you can also keep holding a FN and simultanuously pressing F10 or F11. This should take you to the system recovery screen then follow procedures from the screen. Another way is to activate hidden system restore partition on the hard drive if there is any, the simply reboot your computer.

Are you pressing and holding ALT + F10 when you see the Acer Splashscreen at the startup?

If you are and its not working then you need the recovery disk(s).

ALT and F10 from power on to acces the restore partition on ANY acer pc or laptop

Alt+F10 during boot or in the windows. it will work as long as you didn't delete the recovery partition

Well this is a problem if you didn't make a factory disk nor backed up the system configurations then only thing that will work is to reinstall the operating system. Here is a trick that Acer will never tell you 
press the on button and imedetly press ALT + F10 in this order ALT + F10 - ALT + F10 until it goes into recovery mode all the Acers that has 2 partitions have the recovery mode then click on recover to factory defult this will load the factory operating system + driversand applications

This is the only way to restore the system by switching on the laptop and before it show Acer on the press ALT + F10 in this order ALT + F10, ALT + F10 this will take you to the restore mode and from there you click on restore to factory defualt BUT if you formated the Data (d:\) drive then you have to buy vista and download the drivers from the internet

This is the only way I know to restore the OS 100% original

you must change in BIOS under MAiN--> Sata to IDE.. and than Press ALT+F10.. That must be do it.

Try starting in safe mode (press f8 on start up) once in safe mode use system restore to restore your operating system to a earlier point.
For XP
Start - programs - accessories - system tools - system restore.
For Vista
Start - all programs - maintenance - backup and restore center
