Does it ever start by itself when it is just setting and has not been programmed to cook?

Or is it only when cooking that it shuts off and then starts back?

The fan turned on randomly and will not shut off

A make & model number would help...There could be a number of possible causes. The overheat saftey, depending on the make & model this senses ambiant heat on the frame / chassis, the door sensing interlock switch. Depening on the make & model the control board fan relay. All these could be shorted closed. Depening on how the fan switch is wired the on / off switch or the routing through the control board might be at issue. If the unit has a schematic it may help troubleshoot the issues.

I have a cata ceramic hob. the child lock has been engaged & is restricting operation of any of the 4 hob's

When you turn on the hobs main power, press the the rear left hand element pad at the same time and the lock will come off.

press the centre minus button and the bottom right plus button at the same time it will work if not keep trying
You have to hold down the centre sensor button with the minus on and the sensor which turns on the bottom right ring immediatley after turning the hob on. It should unlock, then press the minus again
the hob switchs off
when you now switch on there will be no lock

Getting an error F-9

Hi,

Reason for F-9 error code:
1. Door motor failure/jammed. Latch motor switch failure.
2. Control software failure.
3. Wiring problem

Solution:
1. Press CLEAR key
2. If CLEAR key does not eliminate the problem, turn power off for 30 seconds, then turn power on.
If this still does not correct the problem the wiring of the Lock Motor, Lock switches A, Door switch circuits and main control panel will need to be check and would require a professional service technician.

Hope this helps.

The timer counts down but the microwave doesnt turn on.

I have a FNCB115GC Microwave problem. The microwave has a icon on the left hand side of the panel that looks like a opened book on a stand with lines on top. This is best that I can descibe it. The microwave turntable does not move or the microwave does to come on but the light comes on and the timer will count down. I have cleared the microwave and unplugged it with no results. Please help. Thanks in advance.

Otherwise, here are some sequences to try:

CLOCK SETTING

CLOCK > 1 > 2 > 3 > CLOCK

CLOCK > 1 > 2 > 3 > START

CLOCK > CLEAR > 1 > 2 > 3 > CLOCK

CLOCK > CLEAR > 1 > 2 > 3 > START
