The problem can i upgrade the system bios which is provided on the intel website does it void the warranty or no because i recently heard from the system vendor the warranty will be void if i upgrade the bios. so pls help me as soon as possible.

If you upgrade it and everything goes ok the warranty should be ok. Some people have problems upgrading bios files and render the motherboard unusable. If that happens you may have a problem with warranty. But only if you tell them you did it.

I upgraded mine to an Intel Core 2 Duo T5600 (Stepping SL9U3), and it's working fine. It's faster, dual core, 64bit and supports VT, I have more details on my page. Of course I don't guarantee this will work for you. But it works perfectly for me. You might need to update the BIOS too.. (See my page for info, but be warned that this is not an officially supported update.. I flashed a BIOS for a different model as I knew from experience they were internally the same - It would definitely void any warranty though)
try to download the bios file from intel site save it on the hdd read the instruction carefully if its a windows file run the file this should solve the problem if it dozenths the try to open the PC cabinet there is a small button cell on the board replace the battery but while doing it th pc should be off an disconnected from the main power
first of all u always had to packup ur bios befor updating,however you can log to the web site and get an older version of the bios or u can copy that from any person who has the same M.B by using the update program it recommendes the packup acceptit and save the bios file on the hdd and stop the upgrade
take that file with u to ur pc and upgrade from it
