Question about Hotpoint Washing Machines
I just had this problem. What had happened was the power connector to the motor had shaken out (a white block on the back of the motor, accessible through the machine's top panel).Pop the connector back in, with the power turned off, and glue the block in place. Turn the power on and you should be good to go!
If that's not sorted it, your motor brushes might need replacing. This is easily done, and there are articles on the net to help.
