Question about HP Printers & Copiers

I have a HP DeskjetF380 All In One Printer, scanner,copier which has been working OK & still does, but am receiveing continual message on my computer which interferes with my computing etc & is an annoyance & cannot seem to be able to eliminate same ? The message is "This program updates your HP Scanning software, you may see a message about "Digital Signature Not Found." You must click "Yes" for the update to install correctly! We have always installed any updates re HP but why this is continually appearing I don't know & is annoying! Can you help? An elderly pensioner in need! M. Disabling it from Your start up

click start -> select run -> in the run box type "msconfig" (without quotes) -> click ok -> then on the window that comes up choose "selective startup" -> next up on top of this window choose the startup tab -> thenn select disable all (at end window) -> lastly choose apply then ok or close - allow pc to restart

should be end of it

Try updating it, there may just be constant updates coming out by HP.

Try going into control panel, add and remove programs and finding the HP update program. Uninstall this and you should nto get any more update messages

1) Check the toner cartridge: Is it new? Is any protective tape or cover to be removed actually removed before installation? Is there any other obstruction preventing the toner from coming out?

2) Check with the printer itself: the drum to pick up the toner may not be charged each time.

Sir hp laser jet 3030 scanner not working , printer unit serviceable what is the fault in scanner , message display ,scanner warming up continue----------------- but not ready for scane


Remove flat bed scanner glass & optical scanner ( see the link ). gently open the scanner cover clean the surface of reflecting glass with ear buds. re fix as it is & check, if it is not resolved replace "Optical scanner assm" P. No:q2665-60108

Hp 7310 prints but receiving error message scanner failed. I turned it on and on and unplug still scanner failure but it prints from computer???

if its a scan issue, you may need to uninstall/reinstall hp printer software. or check on the scan bed if the light is coming out when you turn on the printer. check out this link too, this have all the info you need and tech support for that printer:

check if you are having power, then if power is present after switching on does it initialize i.e ready to receive data. if yes try a self test page with the printer still disconnected from the pc. if it comes out ok connect your data cable and attempt to print a test page. if it comes out ok try a print job. if not try to change the data cable if still not working try re installing drivers. if you still dont come right try it on another pc. if nothing positive happens take it to a repair shop.

i dont have the scanner icon for HP. I loaded the drivers, but the scanner doesnt show up on the control panel.

Try to print--scanner failure appears


I think your printer has been, for some time now, trying to tell you something and the scanner failure message
is the last in a series of messages.

First, the copier and the printer and the scanner worked fine, "for years",
Then, the copier stopped accepting scans, while printing from data sent by your computer.
Then, you received a scanner failure message again, and will not accept data from your computer, and
"won't print at all"

Your printer/scanner/copier/fax has needed service for some time after years of continuous service.

Evaluate now, based on its initial cost and the lesser cost of All In Ones whether you have already
obtained sufficient service to amortize the cost over time, and you may conclude that service is eitherr
cost effective or ineffective at this time.
