Turn the RDS on, this will then re tune itself to the signal.

if you have a VW audi or Ford you may need a amplified aerial feed.

A friend recently gave me a Pioneer deh-p5750mp car stereo cd player and I'm having trouble installing it. I have successfully managed to connect the positive, earth and constant power wires and...

One thing to remember about most radios, the RCA pre amp circuit will still work even if the mosfet power amp inside the radio does not. The best way to know if the amp inside the radio works is to use one matching color pair coming off the radio to wire up a random speaker right to the radio. You can use just about any old random 4 ohm speaker that is laying around to check it. The best solution if the amp inside the radio is blown is to replace the radio or amp the pre amp outputs with a small 4 channel amp. Oh, by the way. What vehicle are you connecting this into? And does the vehicle say Bose, Infinity, or ect sound or Premium sound? These usually denote a factory amplifyer already onboard and requires special connections to get the signal to these amps to then be delivered to the speakers.

My car stereo seems to lose signal on all the radio stations. The preset channels are all there, but no matter which channel you put it on, it plays for a couple of secounds and then comes up with...

Sorry, but solving this requires a tech to see it in person. Assuming that your antenna is not broken, the first thing I would ask you is if you had anything done to the car recently. If you haven't done anything, I would pull out the radio and make sure the antenna cable is plugged in tight. Other than that it can be electrical. See if your radio works with the engine off, or maybe with the engine on but only in park. Find a local stereo installation service and see if their willing to take a look. Usually we don't charge to take a look. I never did. Good luck. =)

I had the head gaskets replaced in my car, since my radio will come on and once in a while, I get sound, other times there is no sound at all. What could the problem be?

Well, it's pretty unlikely that having your engine head gasket replaced has anything to do with your stereo intermittently working so I would be looking to remove the head unit from the dashboard and make sure that all of the speaker cable connections are correctly and securely attached to the back of the unit. It might also be worth checking the terminals on the back of the speakers as one of the connectors may have worked loose.

Hello george_nutti,

The model number you posted is for a center channel speaker which has no controls, and not knowing the exact model number it's difficult to be specific.

Some Kenwood KDC models allow you to select one of 3 "tuning modes", 1) AUTO1 - Automatic search for stations; 2) AUTO2 - Search Preset stations; 3) MANUAL - Normal manual tuning control. If your Kenwood is one of these models, you need to set the tuning mode to MANUAL. For Kenwood Excelon HD receivers, direct access tuning is done by using the included remote. 1) Press DIRECT button on the remote; 2) Press number buttons to enter desired channel number; 3) Press DIRECT button again to exit direct tuning.

Hope this helps.

I have a fiesta zetec 52 plate with standard ford radio cd player and over the last few weeks I keep losing my FM signal it is there for seconds and just fades to fuzz can get MW/LW but quite distorted...

thats sounds really weird never come across that problem in my 3 years. only thing i can suggest is taking it out and checking all the connections, if there okay might be a faulty headunit which you can pick up from ebay quite cheap.

if you do take out headunit then please make sure you have the code for the stereo, or dont unplug the iso lead :)

Need anyhelp then just let me
