Purchased this thing - user manual is just useless. windows says the device is unknown, no driver. what can i do beside send it back and hope for a return of the $$ paid for it

ok you need to for mat it first i.e look for driver g then click then format use iitunes this will reset your mp3

i usually just look for the drive(usually E or some other removable drive) under My Computer. then just drag the files to it. hasn't failed on any of the cheap mp34 players i've invested in

what you have to do is open the file for the mp3 then you have to download the songs and then drag the songs to the file that you opened from your mp3

I have the same problem with the manual.The manual is very vague and basic.Music is very easy to transfer to the player but you must skip through all of the songs to hear the song you want,you can't go to the menu option and pick the artist,album or a specific song you want to here right then and there.I just got lucky because i bought it at the swapmeet and the gentleman let me exchange it for something else.I'm sorry that I can't help out that much!Good luck!!!!!
