Take a look at your proxy setting in internet options if your using Internet Explorer.
The path to the setting is,

Start - type Internet Options in the search box at the bottom of the start menu - click Internet options at the top of the list - click the connections tab - click on LAN settings - under proxy server make sure there is no tick in the use proxy server for your lan - If it is ticked remove the tick
Try download.
Hope this helps.

More than likely the virus has edited settings in your registry, sinply removing the virus will not replace these settings. Try using a restore pointn prior to when you got the virus.

My mp3 is not starting may be due to virus from my laptop now how can I remove virus or start it . somebody told me that I need new software for it but I don't know the manufacturer plz help

Access "Windows Update" -- one of the updates is a virus-scanner (that Microsoft updates, once-per-month) to detect "common" computer-viruses.

Download the virus-scanner from http://www.prevx.com and run it.

How to remove Trojan JS/Exploit.CP

The first thing that you should do is to get rid of any malware on your PC. You should download and install Malwarebytes, it is a very powerful free anti-malware program that does just what it says it does, remove malware and it does it exceptionally well. You can download Malwarebytes from here;

http://download.cnet.com/Malwarebytes-Anti-Malware/3000-8022_4-10804572.html?tag=mncol

After you have installed Malwarebytes update it by selecting the update tab and then check for updates, after you have updated Malwarebytes then select the scanner tab and then run a Full scan for the first scan.

You should run a quick scan with Malwarebytes whenever you are done using the internet, update it first then run a quick scan, The free edition of Malwarebytes does not auto-update or auto-scan you have to do it manually, but that is really trivial compared to how well this program works. If any malware shows up running a quick scan, then run a full scan after the quick scan completes, that way you purge it out of your PC completely.

Also, if your security program, anti-spyware/anti-virus, program is not protecting your system very well then you should download and install AVG-Free Edition, this is another very good program that does what it is supposed to do, remove spy-ware, viruses, and worms. You can download AVG-Free from here;

http://download.cnet.com/AVG-Anti-Virus-Free-Edition/3000-2239_4-10320142.html?tag=mncol

You can set when AVG will check for updates, and when to do a system scan in tools, advanced settings, schedules. Usually you would want to set it up to run when the PC is not being used (usually in the middle of the night).

Also, you should not have more than one anti-virus/anti-spy-ware program installed on your PC or it may cause a conflict and use up resources unnecessarily, If your security is not protecting your PC remove it from your PC by going into add or remove programs in the control panel.

Also, you should know that malware and spyware/viruses are not the same, AVG does not remove malware, and Malwarebytes does not remove spy-ware, viruses, or worms.

You can also help protect your PC from connecting to known rogue web sites by downloading and installing SpywareBlaster, it does not scan for anything and it does not remove anything, it only prevents you internet browser from connecting to known rogue web sites. You can download it from here;

http://download.cnet.com/SpywareBlaster/3000-8022_4-10196637.html?tag=mncol

Make sure that you update and enable all security in SpywareBlaster. Check for updates about once a month, and be sure that you enable the new updates.

Firstly, disconnect your PC from the Internet AND shut the PC down.

This is incase it has a virus that is causing the problem.

Using another computer download SpyBot Search and Destroy from the Internet.

To do this you will need a USB Stick and another computer with an internet connection.

1. Navigate to SpyBot.com.
2. Pick your Language.
3. Click the SpyBot Search and Destroy link under the heading Products.
4. Click the Download icon adjacent to the SpyBot Search and Destroy application.
5. Select the destination to save the Application to. This will be the name of your USB stick.
6. Then click the Download icon adjacent to the Detection Updates and save them also to the USB stick.

Whilst you are on SpyBot's website, navigate around the site and see how to use the software.

Essentially, when the virus is particularly malicious you need to run an application that can detect the virus, and the PC should not be connected to the internet. You will also need to run the PC in SAFE Mode.

Consult with your PC's website (ACER, DELL, HP etc...) to find out what button to press to put it into SAFE Mode as you power on the PC. Some PC's it is F8.

You will need to turn on the PC and then press the appropriate button. Select the option to start the PC in SAFE Mode.

When started up connect the USB Stick.

Navigate to the USB Stick and Run the SpyBot Application from the Stick.

NOTE this will take some time to do depending on the amount of programs and files on your PC.

If SpyBot finds Malware etc.., get rid of it.

Note: When your PC is free of viruses then you can copy the SpyBot application to your PC along with the Detection Files. Then you can open SpyBot and set it up for Auto Scanning. Then, you can re-connect to the Internet.

I hope this helps. Regards,

FIRST, Make sure you have the operating system restore or a copy of the operating system installation CD or DVD.
SECOND, download and run a full virus scan. To try to remove traces of the virus. Once your system is comprised you have no guarantee that a virus will re submerge.
THIRD, Back up all of your data, ie My Documtents, Favorites, Desktop, to blank CD or DVD. DO NOT BACKUP ANY EXECUTABLES.
FOURTH, Format and re-install the operating system. Return your backups as needed.

We encounter this before but I do is to update the Internet explorer from 7.0 version up to the latest version of IE.
Hope were the same problem and help you guide about this. Good luck!

I cannot install any application because of virus

Disable system restore

Delete system restore points

Download anti virus and anti spyware applications such as AVG, a squared, spybot search and destroy.

Install them if possible, if not install them in safe mode ( how to get into safe mode ) but making sure to go into safe mode with networking so that you are able to download the anti virus definition updates as well as the anti spyware definition updates and then run scans ( only one at a time ) and that should allow you to remove the viruses / spyware / malwares that are installed on your computer.

Once done I would also advise running an online anti virus scanner such as trend micro ( free website to run anti virus scanner )

If you get stuck post back and let me know.

Can't browse web pages

Hi,

Its possible that some malware modified your Internet Properties.Open Control Panel -> Internet Options -> Select the TAB "Connections" -> click on Lan definitions and uncheck the checkbox referent to the use of a proxy. If its allready uncheked then there may be a problem in the DNS server. To correct this you must contact your ISP for the correct DNS IPs and put them in: Network Connections - > TCP/IP -> DNS
