Cannot Re-install my Lexmark 1200 Series Printer

I have a XP HP Computer two years old. I had the Lexmark 1200 Series Printer installed on my computer and yesterday, my computer was not recgonizing it. So I uninstalled it and now I keep getting an error that says: Error Coping File: LXCZDR5C.DLL. Can you please help me? I need my printer. I am a pastor and this week I really need my printer and computer to work right. I'll be waiting to hear from you. Thanks, Loretta Waegli I tried to reinstall my Lexmark X1250 software and am now getting a message that the files LXCZMCRO.DLL is needed. I cannot find it anywhere neither on the installation CD nor on the WEB.

Hi,

If for some reason some of the installation/driver files in the original CD could no longer be read or corrupted, it may be better to download an updated installer from the Lexmark site here. Pls click on the Windows XP (version) and follow on screen instructions.

Alternately, you can copy a single file or as you posted "LXCZMCRO.DLL" from here.

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards.

Thank you for using FixYa.

The CD may have been damaged, particularly where the LXCZMCRO.DLL has been written. Finding that file one the net would be next to impossible pastor. You're going to have to get a new installation cd for it to work again. The place you bought it from might be able to let you borrow one (some shops actually do it). When you do, uninstall the printer software and reinstall the software from the borrowed cd. Let me know how it goes pastor.

If you can't get the copy of the cd, enter this URL in your browser to download driver software that might work:

SOURCE: Cannot Re-install my Lexmark 1200 Series Printer

the biggest problem people have with drivers is "Pointing" to the correct location. Sometimes the file is in the Win Directory (in this case where your operating system is) you may have to browse for it . Here's the reason: If the driver is already installed on your computer... what help is it to reinstall it again??? So when the software 'Asks' you where something is, you have to help it, in which case you cancel out the question, then do a 'Search' in the start bar to find that item the computer wanted to find.. You may find a couple, if so scribble them down, and start pointing to them each after you reboot, yes there's an easier way and quicker but i could write a book on how to do it, it may take 3 or 4 times, and remember this because it works with nearly all drivers. Good Luck!

Did you install the right driver for your system,xp/vista.

When you run the software disk and install it at some point it will ask you to turn on the printer and plug it in, this should not be done until the software ask's.

Installing Lexmark 1200 series

Have you downloaded a "driver" for the printer. If not, search for "Lexmark 1200" free driver downloads. Or go to "control panel" and click on "add new hardware" and follow the onscreen instructions. Try this first and if not work, then do the search.

Computer will not communicate with printer

I had this same problem...drove me crazy for a week. Called the geek squad at Best Buy and they mentioned something about a"patch" (which I had no idea what that meant) on the website of the printer. I went to Lexmark website, and selected 1200 series and windows vista (which is what's installed on my computer) A page came up to install a driver that made the two compatible and it worked!!!
