OK, firstly, i will suggest that you take out the graphics card and give it a good clean. When the computer restarts during game-play, it is usually an overheating issue with the graphics card itself.
So, the thing is, if you take out the graphics card fro your PC, you will notice that there is a lot of dust on the cooling fan. Use compressed air to clean the fan unit. I would further suggest that you redo the thermal paste on the CPU of the card.
Furthermore, it can only be an driver issue, so, you will be able to download the latest driver for this specific unit at the web page below.
Hello. Looking at your specs, I assume that a Pentium 4 is not enough to run these kinds of games, so the overwhelming amount of data going through the cpu may have been causing your system to overheat. Do these steps: (1) Uninstall and then re-install your graphics card driver, if problem persists, go to number 2 (2) Try playing around with the ATI Catalyst settings, set everything there to default (3) If problem still persists, then I -am- sure that your PC and/or graphics card is way too overheated, in this case: (a) I recommend getting a heat-monitor (doesn't come cheap though) for your PC, to keep yourself notified of the temperatures of your PC (b) Try buying more fans and if you can afford it get a water-cooling system
Above all, if you can afford a better -Gaming- PC then I'd suggest that, because your system isn't really that great for new games.
adcg, the world of war craft is played online through servers, not just on your computer. the version is needed to see if there are issues with your video card, Do you have XP home or XP pro? you have more than 1 mb of ram at this point I am going to say that you have issues with the video card take it back and get an ATI to replace it, they are better and have less issues. you could also be having an overheat problem with the CPU and that means you need a new heat sink and fan assembly to keep the CPU cooler when you are running this game. That is about all the help I can give you , my advice is to take the computer to a service center and have them look at the CPU heat sink and fan assembly to see if it is working properly. hope this helps
Its probably the graphic card. Its overheating, cant tell you right now if its the graphic core or the memories on it. I need to know the type of the graphic card and the PC case. Maybe you need to add only another fan to your case. You should download GPU-Z and watch the core temperature.
the ram usage for the games you are playing is more so its hanging up. first check the ram usage when this games are installed. the ram usage by the cpu should be less than 60% then only you can play games freely. to overcome this problem increase your ram capacity then you should not have this problem
Not really a solution but just thought i would point out that the 5200 card is pretty old by todays standards and will only be good for playing games from a while ago. What games are you hoping to play?
that is bug generated by the game it self, and it is interfering with the graphic drivers. Try using diferent nvidia drivers and of course try playing the in windows xp compatibility mode.
Hope it helps
