First try to replace the yellow toner cartridge. After that, try re-seating the cartridge (take out the cartridge and place it back in carefully making sure it is seated correctly). If this does not resolve the issue, clean the print heads and connections on the cartridge. This can be done by removing the cartridge and swabbing the connections with a Q-tip dipped in rubbing alcohol. Also, while the cartridge is removed, swab the connections to the cartridge that are inside the printer where the cartridge is seated.
Go to your printer properties>next printer preferences>next maintenance & left click on deep clearing button 4/5 times. If your yellow coluor not print than change cartridge or refil it by ink so simple just open the cartridge cover and refile it.
OK, since nobody answered my plea for help, I merely opened the Canon
monster and yanked out the printhead after lifting up the level. (WHAT
was so hard about that, that nobody could explain it here?!)
Cleaned printhead using warm water & ice-cube tray & paper
towes. Just let it soak all the excess ink out for a while, then
allowed it to dry.
Changed cartridges, put new color cartridge in...
THE DAMNED THING STILL WON'T PRINT YELLOW (altho it will print a faint hint of yellow). WHY IS IT DOING THIS? Why is Canon making this a common problem in the first place, rather than producing a product that is reliable and easy to maintain?
Hi Good day!! did you try to print other documents? if yes try to restart your print spooler Click Start- Setting- Control panel- administrative tools- services now you should be on services box find the "Print spooler" click Print spooler and then restart it by click stop and then start reply to me for further assistant if my solution did not work thanks
Your yellow cartridge is probably not working as your photos suggest. Remove and reinsert the yellow cartridge. Try printing only yellow color. Your printer has a separate head for printing; the nozzle for yellow ink might be clogged. Try running a head cleaning routine from your printer software.
Check the following thread, it might apply to your problem.
and just as a printer can be fooled to show a low level ink, I guess it can happen the other way around.
