I'm not sure where this goes, but try this website....they have troubleshooting tips and a schematic for the inner workings of various VCR's. It might be able to help you identify the part. Categories are even sorted in a database by Brand and Model Number.

Hope this helps.

How to remove a VHS that is stuck in the VCR?

You really have to open the VCR. But you have to know how to turn and move things, so the damaged tape can come out, without damaging the tape mechanism. It is not even in a user manual, but once you know how to do it, you can use the same trick innermost any VCR. To complicated to explain in words, Check if you can find a Youtube video or something on ifixit.com

Videotape dubbing deck dead

Hi,

1. Check to see if a tape is jammed inside (see 284 Extract a Jammed Videotape).
2. Try changing the video input and/or output source. Many VCRs have two ways to receive and send a video signal (coaxial and video direct). If that works, try changing the cable for the other method to see whether you need a new cable.
3. Clean tape heads (see How to Clean VCR Heads).
4. Open VCR and inspect any belts that are accessible (see 284 Extract a Jammed Videotape). A drive belt may be broken or loose.

If tapes are getting stuck / enmeshed inside the machine, itis 90% probability) a mechanical problem. Change the Belts, clean all rollers, idlers, and braking pads.
I would suggest that you also replace the Capstan Pinch Roller.

Goodluck..

I have a vhs video cassette stuck inside my vhs. Is their any way I can get it out without breaking the vcr. It is an older vcr, but I would like to get my tape out.

You might be able to unbolt the two halves of the VCR to remove the tape, but it depends on the VCR type and how it's stuck. You might end up having to get it serviced, or just getting a new VCR, as I can almost guarantee the tape is probably damaged beyond recovery, unfortunately.

How can I get my DVD to get unstuck out of my VCR/DVD player?

I can't get any support from sansui. I think your DVD player is trying to read the disk. It can't and its stuck in DVD mode. This is just something I would try I don't know if it will work. Unplug the power source hold down the eject button and plug it back in. The objective is to try to get it to spit that disk out before it has a chance to try to read it.I hope this helps. If it does give me a vote and I'll know it worked.

Diamond Multimedia ( VC500) Video Capture After I installed the program files from the disc and set up all the three cables for the audio and video, everything is hooked on right and tight but once I plug...

I was having this problem also. I originally plugged my 3 video cables into the VCR outlets in the front of the vcr. I finally turned the vcr around and found two other sets of video out plugs. One was to a dvd/dvr and the other was a vcr out. I took the plugs from the front of the vcr and plugged it into the dvd/dvr out and it worked! Good luck with your problem. Hope the resolution is just as simple.

Neither deck will open to insert tapes in my dual deck vcr

It seems they didnt refirbish it, you should return it..

If for some reason you cant return it.

The problem is your carriage unit is damaged
The carriage unit is the parts that load the tape into the vcr
If you think you are able you can open it up and look if any springs have fallen out. If not then change the unit.

If you cant fix it your self a technician can easily do it for you since it isnt that hard and somplicated to repair, you just need good retainence

Cassette stuck in video

I am a sanyo VCR technician and i will share to you what i had encountered. the problem of your VCR is in the mechanism "slide front" unable to push out the ejector portion of the tape. If you can locate this part just push it so that the tape will eject.
