I have enterd my security code incorrectly on my cd player to many times but i have found my correct code and i cant enter it when i turn my cd player on an error msg comes up what do i do?

some radios have either a reset switch on the radio under the removeable face or somewhere on the bottom...or you might try removing power to the radio...if removing the radio is too much trouble then you can remove the battery lead ..wait about 10 min and then reconnect..this should reset the radio

I have a 2000 VW Passat GLS that I'm trying to install a Dual stereo system into but I can't figure out what the wire colors on the car are for each thing (power, ground, etc.). I've looked online through...

First of all I would highly reccommend you use a wiring harness such as the Metra 70-1784 or the Scosche VW01B for two reasons; 1) it will make things 10 times easier for you and 2) it will keep all your factory wiring intact.

If you want to tackle this without using a wire harness do not just go and cut off your factory plugs, leave them on in case you ever need to change out the radio to a different model/brand of if you ever decide to sell the car or trade it in you can put your factory radio back in and keep your nice new radio for the new car. Just tap into the wires behind the plugs and make sure to insulate your connections really well so you don't pop fuses or worse.

Here's the wire colors and what they do:

12 volt constant wire - Red/blue
Ground wire - Brown
Radio ignition wire - Red (thicker red wire)
Radio illumination wire - Gray/blue

Front left speaker - Red/green (+) and Brown/green (-)
Front right speaker - Red (+) and Brown/red (-)
Rear left speaker - Blue/white (+) and Brown/white (-)
Rear right speaker - Blue (+) and Brown/blue (-)

If you're using a amplified antenna adapter that has a blue wire attached to it, connect that blue wire to the thicker red radio ignition wire.

Hope that helps.

I have disconnected the battery on my 1 year old C30 for 10 mins and now the radio won't work, the garage said that it doesn't require a code putting in the radio it requires re-programming, is this...

The radio would have reset and so will require the code from the maker. Please contact your dealer for the code or check if the code is written on the service book or manual .
This is a security for preventing radio theft.

Hi Can you please help me I have a becker in dash radio/sat nav with a 6 change cd player under my seat on a 2003 landrover freelander. My wife turned the radio off by using various buttons until I showed...

i would look for a little hole about the size of a pen nib. it would be the reset button. if that does not work then i would disconnect your cars battery and then remove your radio fuse for roughly 5-10 min ( to allow any residual currant to drain) then refit both. that should reset your radio system. It is EXTREAMLY rare for serious damage to be done to a car radio just from pushing buttons.
I hope i have managed to help you with your problem.
cheers

How do i connect my i phone 3gs to my clarion cz509a via bluetooth

I have a Clarion Cz509A stereo which did connect via blue tooth to my I phone 3 for over 12 months. However after a car battery was changed they no longer pair together. I have reset the phone, turned it on and off. Checked the pass key is correct with the stereo. Checked hot wire is connected as it keeps time and radio settings when battery is disconnected for over an hour. Tried the head set reset button, but still no detection. What ya reckon

Im sittin here with the wiring harness for my 99 altima, and the wiring thing from the back of my pioneer deh p6700MP, i have no clue which ones to match with the other one?

Here's the manual for the Pioneer -->LINK<--.

This is the 2 options of install wiring on a 97 Altima, I'm not sure if it's exactly the same, I suggest that you don't trust these pinout if yours differ at all.

Radio Constant 12V+ Wire: Pink
Radio Switched 12V+ Wire: Blue
Radio Ground Wire: Chassis
Radio Illumination Wire: Red/Green
Radio Dimmer Wire: Red/Yellow
Antenna Trigger Wire: Green/White
Front Speaker Size: 4′ x 6′
Front Speaker Location: Doors
Left Front Speaker Wire (+): Brown
Left Front Speaker Wire (-): Black/Red
Right Front Speaker Wire (+): Light Green
Right Front Speaker Wire (-): Black/Yellow
Rear Speaker Size: 6 1/2′
Rear Speaker Location: Rear Deck
Left Rear Speaker Wire (+): Orange
Left Rear Speaker Wire (-): Black/Pink
Right Rear Speaker Wire (+): Blue
Right Rear Speaker Wire (-): Black/White

THERE IS AN ALTERNATE WIRING COLOR CODE

THERE IS NO CONTACT PIN OR EXISTING WIRE THAT IS GROUND !!!!! (some really strange things happen to aftermarket radios if you think the Red/yellow wire on pin 9 of the 10-pin connector is ground”!!!!!

Large 10-Pin Connector:
Constant Hot (Memory or Clock) =RED wire pin8
Switched (Ignition) Hor = Blue wire pin4
Left Front Speaker + = Blue/white pin1
Left Front Speaker - = Blue/yellow pin5
Right Front Speaker + = Brown pin2
Right Front Speaker - = Brown/white pin6

The Smaller (6-pin) connector is only for the rear Speaker:
Left Rear + = Red pin5
Left Rear - = Green pin4
Right Rear + = Blue pin2
Right Rear - = Pink pin6

Regards

Philip

Bose Radio in 2004 SSR , no sound from CD or Radio but it lights up & changes from CD to Radio! Problem started after getting new Batt. at dealership!

Problem solved by disconnecting hot leed at fuze box located under the front hood for 15 min. This made the radio reset it`s self & it now works better than it did when I bought the truck in 2004! The dealership here in Blue Springs, MO. problably didn`t use the power saving device that is to be pluged into the cig. lighter socket when they installed the new batt.! If you want it done right, do it yourself! Walter Kirk.
