K550i-No battery backup and slow transfer rate of data

Battery won't last for more than a day if its charged for more than 6hrs.

i gave it for service at Authorized Sony Ericsson service centre(Jayanagar 4th blk,Bangalore), but they never repaired it & said some software prevails, which is not in connection with my handset problem.
they also charged me Rs.150 as inspection charges, just for opening the handset.
I have 1 year warranty period, as i bought my phone in the month of April-08.
Can this problem be solved?
Will sony ericsson copany replace mine with a new hand-set?
or else i ll go for other company mobiles, which ll provide good service.

Go to sony ericsson website and search for battery genuineness checking page. Provide your battery serial no. and check whether its original battery or not. If its fake, then approach the dealer from whom you bought this mobile.

My HP Pavilion dv8315nr runs slow, the audio is choppy and the battery won't charge. I have to take the battery out and only use power cord for laptop to turn on. I was told to get a restore disk and...

First I think you have a bad battery...this is usually why the battery wont charge or the machine wont turn on when you have the battery in. So I would look into replacing the battery.

I think for the slowness you can definitely do a restore to factory settings to help clear some of that up. The link here: http://www.pctechbytes.com/hp/hp-recovery-cd-creation Should give you some info on creating restore disks for your HP machine.

NOTE...be careful and BACK UP your data and test it. a restore will wipe out all your programs and data and set your machine back as if it was the day you brought it home. Make sure you have backups.

Good Luck.

Tip

To increase data transfer rate b/w PCs

If the data transfer rate between two PCs over a LAN is slow, stop any firewall service if running in both PCs. This will increase the data transfer rate between the PCs.
This can increase the throughput if your are backing a set of servers using a master backup server. Or any scenario where is there is flow of data between two windows systems.
PS: This is not applicable to all the antivirus firewalls. Also i don't recommend to keep the firewall disabled, if no other alternatives are planned well.

The last 3 days, my battery lasts only a few hours. It used to last at least 15 hours

Battery and Usage under Settings will tell you exactly what is draining your battery. You should power your phone off for a few minutes every 2 or 3 days.

Also try letting the battery die completely, and charging up to full UNINTERUPTED. This will help the phone reset it's battery meter, which may be the problem.

Your next step would be to backup the phone, apps, and SD Card files, and perform a factory restore. Then reinstall your apps and replace your data.

If that fails, you may simply need to purchase a new battery.

I want to know how to do backups to an external hard drive. I have tried and it does not seem to work. I have Vista Home Basic and Premium on my desktop and laptop. Why am I having all this trouble. I hate...

Are you aware Vista has USB issues. It has some of the slowest transfer rates on USB. so if you are trying to transfer data from the Laptop / Desktop to an external drive it will take days and might even damage your devices for their continuous running.

It's been 4 days ago since my cellphone gets a problem bout sending message.,..every time i send a message the message "Message Sending Failed" immediately pop out

ok before contacting your provider try taking out the sim card and battery. while there out i want you to put the sim card in before the battery then after sim is in put battery let it sit for 2 minutes then turn on. (also before starting make sure battery is fully charged, if not charge it before doing anything. Or if you have a backup battery use that, make sure its fully charged also)
If this is a new service, and your just recently using it, make sure #1 you have the data package activated from your provider #2 make sure they dont have your account locked because of an unpaid or late bill. cell phone operators are alowed to lock services if bill is late or not paid on time. there grace period is only 30 days max

Mel

if this helped please spend the time to rate the service

Data missing - Ipaq model HP5555 - did not do hard reset

Hello,

I'm sorry but the HP Ipaq 55xx series store data on a volatile ram based memory. Unlike a nand flash (like usb sticks, memory cards etc) this memory will hold data only as long as it's powered on. If your main battery gets empty you should still be able to retain your files for some 10-20hrs with the backup battery (if it's ok itself and not depleted). After this time the power to the ram memory is cut off and all data is lost.
The problem you face is somewhat related to that backup battery, as it appears it's unable to do it's job and maintain the power to the ram memory at least some 10 hrs. You should have that battery replaced.

There is no way to recover the data from the ram memory as it is stored as an electric charge over some memory cells in the ram chips. When there is no power, these charges dissipate and the pattern is lost.

I'm sorry for having to give the bad news.

Phone won't charge

Remember it's always important to take care of your device.. especially a mid-level device like the K550i. Sony Ericcson prides themselves in edgy techno-savvy devices but leave little room for accommodating ruggedness--they are delicate. You may be able to go to your wireless carrier and exchange or utilize a battery until your device arrives. If you have an older device you can put your SIM card in there and use that also until the old phone comes. There are self-charge batteries but they dont last days and you will have continually buy another one when the previous one dies. They only last 2-4 hours and can be purchased in the Wal-Mart electronics section. You have to make sure they make one for your model device. I hope this information helps you and good luck!! Rule of thumb: Always buy an extra battery! Have a great holiday!

Sanyo DLX cell phone for Sprint - error w302

All you have to do is turn off data services. This error occurs when you have data services blocked on your phone, so your phone errors when trying to setup wireless backup.
