Hi... I've been charging my Sansa e260 for over 8-hours now and it still turns itself off saying that the battery is low... Could it be that the USB cable is broken someplace ? It just doesn't want to charge at all !

    What should I do ?

Its probably a battery problem. Are you charging through USB? If you are, then here is what to check for. Does the computer recognize the e260 is plugged in? Can u edit the music on the player? If you can do both, then ur cable is probably fine.

I held it in the off position while at the same time pressing the menu button....it shut off, then I restarted it. It will repair the media itself.

Had the same problem, blue light no screen, took the cover off found a small black rectangle block not completely pushed in. the block is located on the right center on the part above the battery and right behind the screen.

Press and hold the menu button until the blue light turns off. Then try updating the firmware of the player by doing the recovery mode on the player.
