O need a diagram showing the spark plug firing order on a 1997 Ford f150 xlt v8 5.4 tritan. Four wheel drive extended cab three door.

There are three engine sizes, but these tell a different firing order and said it changed in 1995!

I got this free Pdf manual from reliable-store for free and I don't think Ive visited a mechanic or fixya for help for more than 3-4 times out of the 20 times I fixed the chipper in these 4 years

Follow the spark plug wires and they will lead to the spark plugs.

The RH (Passenger's) side Cylinders 1, 2, 3, and 4 The LH (Driver's side) Cylinders 5, 6, 7 and 8

the firing order is 1-3-7-2-6-5-4-8, cylinders are number right bank (passenger side) 1-2-3-4, left bank (drivers side) 5-6-7-8

I suspect the coil pack for one of your cylinders. Ford uses a spark plug cap with a electronic coil pack attached to each plug. I have repaced three on my 2002 F150 so far; Its a common problem
