Question about Logitech R-20 Computer Speakers

Subwoofers not working on Logitech R-20 speakers; worked until recently

I recently received a set of Logitech R-20 computer speakers with attached subwoofer as a gift. A short while ago (unfortunately, I'm not precisely certain when), the subwoofer stopped playing sound, although the speakers themselves continue to play as normal. Is there a way to fix this, or at least check what could be wrong?

I bought Logitech R-20 speakers and sub-woofer last March. They worked great untill yesterday. The speakers work fine but the subwoofer seems to have a problem where the cord conects to the woofer. It works if I wiggle the cord then it quits. I returned to the store where I purchased the set but they won't do anything for me.

There must be a control on subwoofer, like a volume control. Turn it and check it. Also check the connections.

I just had this problem and it was fixed by just turning the unit off and back on again. I think this model is prone to problems associated with the mechanical control aspects (Volume knob and power button) causing problems. I think power push switch is of poor quality so if it gets worn or dust gets in it it might do something like cut power to the sub (which is what happened to me). Hope this helps. So in summary: Turn it on and off a few times being sure to work the power button pretty good as well as the volume dial.

Hi, I bought recently a new 5.1 Surround Sound System Logitech X-530 and want to connect it to our new LCD LG 32LD450 HD TV. The LG TV has apart from all Digital, Optical and RCA Connections as well one...

You can't connect the speakers to your TV. I doesn't have any audio output available, just inputs. Those are for connecting the audio from sources like DVD players, and they go in to the TV's sound system. But there's no way of getting the sound out except through the set's internal speakers. The surround system you got is great for a computer, but it's not what you need for TV use.

The only solution I can offer is the suggestion that you invest in a home theater receiver. You can get decent basic systems with the receiver (often with DVD/audio CD playback capability built in) and surround speakers at reasonable prices. Then you use that to drive the speakers, and use the TV just as a video monitor. Then you will have surround sound.

You may be now living too close to a radio station. Sometimes when this is the situation, anything electronic gear plugged into a wall socket can act like an antenna, thus receiving signals from local radio stations.

Try going through this troubleshooting procedure site first: http://logitech-en-amr.custhelp.com/cgi-...*uWZ8vi&p_accessibility=0&p_lva=&p_sp=cF9zcmNoPTEmcF9zb3J0X2J5PSZwX2dyaWRzb3J0PSZwX3Jvd19jbnQ9NzgmcF9wcm9kcz04NDQsMTcmcF9jYXRzPSZwX3B2PTIuMTcmcF9jdj0mcF9zZWFyY2hfdHlwZT1hbnN3ZXJzLnNlYXJjaF9ubCZwX3BhZ2U9Mg**&p_li=&p_topview=1 If you get no solution from this, there are other similar logitech speaker systems that have had similar problems on initial models. it appears that logitech have been very helpful with replacing speakers in the past if design or product is faulty. Give them a try. hope this helps:)
