Most likely you have a dirty/bad flame sensor in your FURNACE. with the power to the furnace OFF, remove the flame sensor, usually a rod at the opposite side from the ignitor, and clean it with steel wool or a dollar bill. reinstall it, power up, and try the furnace. if no improvement, replace the flame sensor. seems like mack was distracted while he answered this
additionally, since the flame never lights, you may have a bad gas valve solenoid, preventing the gas from coming on, or possibly the gas supply line is shut off. If the flame sensor doesn't detect flame in the fire box, it will cycle and try to relight a few times before going into lock-out mode.

Let's trouble shoot a few possibilities:
Can you confirm that your gas pressure/ supply is correct-- by lighting all of the range top burners at the same time-- Do they all light quickly, and burn to full height, without much of any yellowing at the flame tips? That should indicate you have god gas pressure and supply.
Now-- in the Oven itself-
When you light the BROIL burner-- does it's glow ignitor light up, and does that burner light off OK?
If it is only the main oven burner that is not lighting, are you able to remove the cover plate that covers it, and watch it light off? -- Any clues on whether or not the gas valve even open?
If NO gas flow, likely you need a new Main Oven Gas Valve-- Probably need to call your Gas Appliance service person.
Let us know if this helped

Right on!-- My mistake-- I have been doing OVENS all night-- and I was still thinking OVENS!
OK-- 'Furnace never lights-- but the Ignitor glows' --
Question: Does it glow nice and bright?-- and can you see that it is not chopped or broken? There is a current sensing circuit, and if there is anything slightly wrong with the ignitors load on the circuit-- The control board will NOT let the gas valve open--
How old is the ignitor-- Has it ever been replaced?
They are very delicate, and do need to be replaced occasionally.
Do you have a way of checking to be sure yo have good gas pressure to the furnace-- LIke testing the oven like I suggested i the previous trouble shooting?-- If the oven lights well, yo probably have good gas pressure in the house.
Do this testing above, and get back with us again--
And I apologize about the mental slip-- I am tired, and need to quite an go to bed-- but so many people have so many trouble shooting problems-- and I know folks are COLD!-- We will be below Zero tonight!

Your question: Does it glow nice and bright?-- YES, VERY.
and can you see that it is not chopped or broken? NO, NOT AT ALL.
There is a current sensing circuit, and if there is anything slightly wrong with the ignitors load on the circuit-- I'M NOT SURE HOW TO TEST THIS BUT I THINK THE IGNITORS ARE OK AT LEAST THEY WERE FOR THE 5 MINUTES THAT IT DID RUN.
