You best bet for finding a replacement board for this DS is on eBay. If you've tested the screen, and the unit doesn't make any noise or turn on then there would definitely by an electronics fault on the main board.

The little tiny capcatator is on the main board
the fault is the board
a little tiny chip on the board has gone
could be any one of them hard to ind unless you have a multimeter

Hope you have a warranty because it looks as though your mainboard on the ds is messed up. Also, the connectors on that particular ds may be messed up.

and here is a trouble shooting guide if you think you might be able to fix the board or if you believe that something else is wrong

  • Rishi Roshan Ali Jul 17, 2008

capicators can be seen on this board, look for one with an oily surface or that is oily to the touch,, that means its bad..

  • Rishi Roshan Ali Jul 17, 2008

If your planning on trying to repair the board, You will need a digital multimeter and you have to check for contuinity from the battery to the on switch, then continue the tracing as the current flows. be sure to check every mintransistor and you can google the ic's to see which pins give how much voltage and test them accordingly.. Most of the time its the microprocessor or the main control ic or the roms. Given that these are fully integrated it takes great patience to actually unsolder and resolder the replacements .. and also be aware that you will ned to get the parts from one thats been discarded since they dont sell the components seperately, you will need to purchase an entire main board,.

I have changed the main boards, its just as simple as ptting it back togeter

this will give you some help. It is just as simple as putting it back together the same way you take it apart. Let me know if you need any further assistance.
Thanks,

I haven't done it but from the information provided in these links. It looks like there is already more then enough information.
If you have a moment and can accept and rate a solution accordingly it would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks,

Once again I am sorry you feel that way but I don't think you have looked at anyone's answers. There are plently of links that tell you how to totally disassemble the ds lite. What more are you looking for? All the information that could have been provided has. If you need any more help then it is likely you don't have the expertise to repair this yourself and should have it serviced. I cannot believe you have not accepted and rated a solution accordingly.
    Thanks,
    Lee
