Avic z 140 bh can't recogonize voice cammands

I have the same problem - I gave up on the voice command feature which was the main reason I bought the AVIC 140. I called Pioneer and they tried to help but the technician said I had to speak very clearly. Multiple people tried the voice commands with the car parked and off and it still couldn't recognize a single command. My microphone works perfectly so I know it isn't that. I give the overall rating on this device a 2 out of 5. I could go on for pages about the unfriendly user interface.

Am noise

in the AM frequency range, it is very hard to stop any type of interference because of the low bandwidth and not a lot can be done to suppress it, and where this band is in the frequency spectrum. There should be an AM loop on the back of your receiver, and if there is not, maybe that is why the AM reception is so poor. You can also be a better AM antenna from an electronics store to hook up to your receiver. Like I said, not a lot that can be done for interference my friend.

Str-685 has poor fm reception. have tried 3 different antennas.

If you are sure with the antennae then the fault is with the RF section within, It can be related to a faulty RF section, tuner or IF. You need to take a signal test to confirm.

I have a 1970's Sony AM Receiver ICR-9. Reception is poor and sounds almost like it is receiving on another band. It has been a great radio and would like to retain. Bill

Do you use an indoor antenna ? Nowadays, with all gear around, like micro-waves receptors, strong motors, satellites, etc., reception becomes quite poor, unless you use an external antenna, properly set to catch broadcast stations. FM reception particularly has its signal much improved in that way. Correct demodulation requires a good an somewhat large outdoor antenna. Hope I could help. Good Luck.

I need help!!! my headset is buzzing lol

check the audio setting. If AUX is turned on instead of Microphone, it will cut out because its waiting for an input from another source.

make sure the LINE-IN isnt turned on or the S/pdif-in.

Only have on the ( PLAYBACK, WAVE, CD AUDIO, MIDI, and Microphone. And there not muted or turned down.

If its USB it may need drivers but they should have come on a CD with it.

Also make sure that if your using sound card, that its set up in the audio properties to be the audio renderer
