Hi I have a samsung plasma PN50C550G1F I havve right now 2 vertical lines that seem to change color with the background picture. Tv powers up fine sound work perfect.

Vertical lines on a plasma TV are caused by either a failing x-buffer board or a loose connection at the flex cable between the panel and the buffer board. Sometimes just removing the flex cable, cleaning it, snd reinstalling it will fix it.

Vertical line

Run diagnostics on the system, will determine if that is a hardware issue or something related to drivers.
For drivers - obvious first choice is to download the latest drivers from and upgrade
For hardware - you will need the LCD to be replaced, for the lack of other smaller parts you can't order from Dell.
Before you determine hardware, go thru the system teardown documentation and reseat all the LCD parts / cables (usually fixes the line issue, without replacement)

Vertical lines when turn on

In most cases, loose connection to LVDS cable [the flat cable that connects the LCD panel to T'Con board] can cause this fault. If you are something familier with LCD TV repair, just re-seat this cable once and check. If you wish to get more assistance, try this site. Pull up previous posts, either by entering the brand name to your device in the search box of the display window, or view it in Mosaic / Flipcard / Timeslide option.

I have vertical lines my 26TA1600 LCD TV. The lines seems to be permanent. What is the cause and how can I resolve it?

These vertical line are possible causes of LCD cables from the graphics card. There is no easy fix for this issue and normally requires servicing or part replacement. Try to contact your TV support people or consult you local technicians to diagnose it properly as it might be also the panel itself failing.

What you have described is definitely some form of Electrical Interference. Interference can come from a variety of causes. Is the Cable Inputting the Cable Box close to some High Voltage Electrical Lines? Or Are you located near some Electrical Power Station? Or A Police station, where the Radio Transmitter of the Police Station causing the Interference? As I said, there are a variety of reasons. Also, Try to check if the connector is loose at the rear of the Cable Box, or at the rear of the TV. You will have to eliminate every possibility reason. Wish i could help further.
