Need registry key to to install printer

Assuming you are running Windows XP, you may be able to repair this issue if you "restore" your computer to an earlier date.

This is a process by which Windows remembers a time when your computer functioned properly, and sets your computer to those settings. Most of the registry problems can be fixed in this manner.

To access Restore feature, click Start and find Programs, then Accessories, then System Tools, then System Restore.

A window should open that asks if you would like to create a restore point, or restore your computer to an earlier date. Choose this later option.

The next screen should show you a calendar. The dates which are bold are dates that you can choose to restore your computer.

You may not fix the problem on the first try; so choose the most recent bold date, and restore. If the printer still will not install, repeat the process with the next older date.

Unfortunately, if this process does not allow you to repair your computer's software, a reinstallation of the operating system may be required.

Good luck....tony

Registry keys

A registry is a very intricate set of software instructions. A cheap registry cleaner can do more harm than good believe me, I have seen registries destroyed by cheap junk! Stay away from free registry cleaners! Try this registry scanner and please let me know if it solved your problem...

Does the message specify any particular dll? If you could copy the dll?s exact name and repost this question it might help the community in finding you a better fix. The best I can do considering the situation is refer you to the HP site, to a page there where you can download the relevant drivers: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareCategory?product=304431&lc=en&cc=us&dlc=en&submit.y=9&submit.x=11&lang=en&cc=us download the driver that fits your operating system and follow the instructions. Usually installation doesn?t require much computer savvy, just repeatedly pressing the ok button. Offcourse if you still have the original installation CD that you got with the printer then check to see if the driver is already there. Good luck
