The wii was working fine then all of a sudden there was no power going to the console. I unplugged it, waited awhile then plugged it back in again, still no power. Can it be the power cord?

Wii won't turn on.

Reset the AC adapter by following steps below.

1. Unplug the Wii AC adapter at both ends (from the back of the
Wii system and from the wall outlet or power strip).

2. After you've waited a full 2 minutes, plug the AC adapter back in on both ends and check to see if the power light comes on.

What is error code 51030 and how do I fix it?

Your wireless router may need to be power cycled, or the connection settings have changed.
Power cycle your router; redo the connection settings on the Wii and try again.

Did this connection used to work but has suddenly stopped? "Power cycle" your router and modem. To do this, unplug both the modem and the router from the power outlet. Wait a few minutes, and plug the modem back in. Wait a couple of minutes for the modem to initialize, then plug in the router. Try to connect the Wii, Nintendo DS, or Nintendo 3DS online and test for proper response

Wii power problem!

You are not getting the correct voltage into the Wii, this can happen one of three ways. (1) The power converter you have is not converting the power correctly, (2) running on converters are not exactly matching the correct voltage and wattage has strained your power supply and damaged the Wii, or (3) the power supply itself just failed as a result of any number of normal electrical conditions.

My son was using his wii when the power suddenly went out on the TV and the wii. The TV started working again, but the wii did not. I've checked all the connections and unplugged and plugged everything in,...

Did you have a power surge? Unplug the power supply from the wii and the wall for five mins. Then plug it back in and try it out. Have heard of this working for some people.

Power Outage & Now Wii Won't Power Up...

When this same thing happened to me, I unplugged the Wii power supply from the wall (not just from the back of the Wii) and let it sit unplugged for about 10 minutes. When I plugged it back in, everything was fine.
