Question about Texas Instruments TI-84 Plus Silver Edition Graphic Calculator

# Error :invalid DIM

I am trying tofind the intersection of two equation (y1=x-3 and y2=5x+27)by ti-84 i entered data and tried to find intersection point from (calc) tab but it says err:INVALID DIM

I HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM WHEN I TRY TO INPUT BASIC FUNCTIONS TO GRAPH.

Anytime I want to graph my table, an "ERR:INVLAID DIM" message comes up! WHAT THE HECK!!! I have things to DO!!! This is INSANE! am I doing something wrong? Does this mean that my window is at the wrong dimensions? HELP!

SAME PROBLEM! Anytime I try to graph functions...

One solution I know of is clearing the RAM. Sounds strange, doesn't it? But it fixed three different calcs.

Be sure to back up or archive important data before doing this.

You must disable the Statistical plots.
1. Press STAT button
2. In the menu list that displays, select the Option PlotsOff and press ENTER.
3. When the calculator answers Done, you can go to Y= editor to enter your functions or
4. press GRAPH, if functions are already defined.

You're trying to graph a function that does not involve stat plot features but the calculator probably thinks you are. You can correct this by turning off the stat plot features. Press "2ND" "STAT PLOT" and then select 4:PlotsOff.

One of the statistical plots is turned ON and you must turn OFF all the STAT PLOTS.
To do so
1. Press [2nd][Y=] to access the stat plot configuration.
2. Select [4:PlotsOff]
3. Command PlotsOff echoes on main calculator screen
4. Press [ENTER] to execute it.
6. When finished entering functions press the [GRAPH] button.

Hello,
[2nd][MEM][7:Reset][1:All ram][2:Reset] [ENTER]. Screen shows RAM cleared. Clear the screen and use [Y=] to enter the functions you want to graph.
