Follow the steps on this page to write new software to your GPS. If that doesn't work, it is hardware failure and has to be replaced.

Also, if you are reading data from an SD card, see if the unit locks up without the SD card inserted into the unit. If it doesnt lock up with the SD card removed, then the card probably has corrupt data. If that's true, I will give you instructions to (attempt to) repair the data on the card.

Depending on where you live, you can contact Cobra directly and see if you can get an RMA authorization for your gps. Alternatively, you can take it back where you bought it (if it's under warranty). If it is out of warranty you may be out of luck.

I have a riso 4200 and a 4900 that have been setting for a while, when I try to make a master it doesn't make all the copy it has white strips around the ink drum. How do I clean the drum so I can use them...

Since your machine doesn't used long time. This causes the consistency of the ink very loose and it will not go into the drum. Just replace with new ink and try to make several print by making several master and the pump unit will start filling it up. If you know how to go to service mode just use testmode 101. This will help to pump the ink inside by using just one cut of master.

Door locks on Ford Expedition stuck

Look under your steering wheel right under the dash. There should be a small white strip with 5 numbers. This is your master code for your vehicle. If you bought the car used and they give you a code, they could have made their own code, but the master will override it. If this don't help, the module for the doors may be going bad.

Trying to wire nav man gps imput into a 585fcv furuno echo sounder,i no the white wire of the nav man nmea output ,but what coulour wire is the imput for the 585,white and blue.but which one is the signal...

white and blue is correct, white is signal, but be aware that manufacturers screw this up all the time, so try it both ways, and look for pulsing data on digital meter measuring 12V, should see meter jump rhythmically, from 0 to 4-12V. Confirm presence of data to maintain sanity

Master vs. repeater confusion

The master/repeater selection is for the purpose of determining which display is in control of the waypoint and route database.

Turn on both units and let them boot up. Do not answer the master/repeater question until both are on. Then press "Set as master" on the preferred one.

The units remember individually if they were set as a master or repeater the last time they were on. If they are powering up to find themselves in a different configuration than they were previously in, that will prompt the whole master/repeater thing to happen.
