SOURCE: When charger is plugged, amber light blinks once and then nothing? E125 not working at all!

The Casio PDAs will quit charging very quickly if the battery is very, very discharged. If you continue to remove and re-insert the charger into the PDA's power socket, the recharging cycle will last longer and longer until finally the stupid thing will fully recharge its battery.

I have two Casio PDA's and three batteries that were recovered after a bit of tedious struggle to force the charging cycle to complete.

SOURCE: Treo 680 charging light flashes red when disconnected from charger

Have you activated phone yet? When phone is activated and in service it flashes green. It's hard to believe it would flash green without a SIM card, as there is no service...unless AT&T is providing emergency service only and you're getting a flashing green which means you're in range of their towers.

Hi car3r0,

You're correct. It doesn't sounds like the Dash is charging. At the very least, it doesn't sound like the Dash is charging properly. If you've got a T-Mobile store near by, you might want to stop by and see what they have to say.

(Note: the Dash battery has a tendency to go bad after about 12-14 months, so it may be as simple as a battery replacement. Worst case scenario, it could be a dead charging port on the device.)

Let us know how things go!
Thanks,
Jonathan

Get a new battery. or go to a t-mobile store and asks them if you could test a different battery in your phone.

hi
just see dear if your phone battery is not damaged means that it is not broken or the upper portion hasn't not grown means a hill like portion on battery you can keep it on table and spin it if spin try both sides then battery problem need to purchase new one if not then you can charge it via computer then check and last option is discharge it completely then charge it for continually 8 to 10 hours may be it can solve your problem. regards aniruddh

Motorola A1200 cell phone battery will not charge with AC chargers

HI,

If your phone is still under warranty the best solution is to get it replaced. The problem is actually with the port of the charger.I mean the hole in which you plug in your charger isn't working properly.Where as your USB port is different and works properly so it charges the battery. So you will have to get this repaired.

Just wondering how to connect it to a computer?

Hello,

The Samsung SCH-i730 doesn't have a USB port, but it has a different port that underneath the phone itself. You need to use an adapter so that you could connect it to the computer. Look for the adapter SCH-i730 Lil Sync USB connector.

There could be a possibility that the battery is not working correctly. To isolate this, try to use another battery to see if you will get the same problem.

NOTE: To take care of the battery, never charge it if it's not running out of charge. Never unplug the charging battery if it's not fully charged.

Hard reset and charging problems

do the hard reset again .. hold the power button down while operating the reset in the back .. keep the power button down for a few seconds .. that should bring up a display "delete all" .. you can choose to do so .. that will be a hard reset .. now if the battery is dead and the charger is not working then nothing will work for you .. you might have a bad charger .. often the end that plugs into the unit develops a broken wire inside the cable ..
the m515 wont charge from the sync cable (shame) it needs the external power adapter .. make sure the connections on the charger and palm are clean .. the power adapter is 5 volts and i think about 1 amp .. )(center pos) if you want to try another adapter .. the tip is rather standard ... also you can get a universal power adapter from radio shack that will work on just about anything .. you just plug in a suitable tip .. the tip for your palm is an "A19" .. the power adapter is "IGO" wall adapter 23-1401 model PSM08VADJ ... that seems to work nicely and it plugs directly in to the palm .. so you can work with it plugged in .. when the charger is working there should be a lightning bolt thru the battery symbol .. it sounds like you already know that .. if the battery has gone open then it may not indicate a charge .. but the unit should still work while on the charger if that is actually working ....

Hi, May be the programs are running in the background
You can close the programs and check
just go to task manager..(TAB on right top corner)
open-->More--> End All
/try to close the applications every time.

All the best

Battery shows fully charged, stays on for 3 minutes and freezes.

I've had this happen. Try a soft reset, if that doesn't fix it - try a hard reset. If it still does this, you will need to replace the battery. It may either be a problem with the battery itself or the power regulation circuit that is built into the battery. Either way, replace the battery and it should fix it. Word of warning though, some aftermarket chargers actually reverse-charge the battery - I had a USB charge/data cradle that did this and I still have short-lived battery life on my new E2 battery if I use that cradle. I just stopped using it because it kills my E2.

Battery Charge - First Use

My experience was similar to yours. The LED turned green after about only 2 hours. Because I didn't want to stay up until midnight to start playing with my Axim, I took it out of the cradle after the 2 hours and everything was fine. Besides, having downloaded and read the user's guide 2 days before receving my Axim, I knew that a green LED meant it was ready to go. 3 days later, everything is still fine and seems normal. A year ago, I received a Palm with similar initial charging requirements, and it also didn't take as long as the directions said it would.

External batteries

Sounds to me like you have a winning plan of attack. I did the same thing a couple years back, bought one of those 4XAA battery holders with a little slide switch and put a jack on the end of the wire...worked fine. Then I bought a 6V 1500 mAh rechargeable battery from Radio Shack that was made for r/c cars and such. It worked great too. Never had problem one with either setup.
