Question about Black & Decker 19" Electric Lawnhog Mulching Mower with Rear Bag

1 Answer

Mower doesn't seem to be charging. Charger light remains green instead of red when plugged into mower to charge it.

After mowing a lawn and plugging the mower back in, the red light changed to green sometime overnight. I went to mow the back lawn the next day and the mower had hardly enough power to turn the blade. The indicator light remains green whether the mower is plugged in or not. Hopefully it's just the charger.

I would like to use my snowblower for the season. I've never used before, my husband used to do it. He said that I need to charge it first before using it. How do I go that

hopefully you will find the charger near the machine ? ( a plug with a lead ) simply plug it into an electric outlet ( plug hole ) and connect it to the blower ( you will see a hole in the blower the same shape as the end of the lead on the charger) if the charger has lights on it ( usually red and green ) you will see the red light come on,leave it charging until the green light comes on. or charge it over night...hope this helps

I just purchased a Toro e-cycler cordless mower, model # 20360. I tried plugging in the charger to the Ac outlet and the mower receptacle. My understanding is that the charger light is suppossed to be...

It could be that the batterys don't need to be changed and shouldn't be unless fully discharged, if u charge before the batteries are fully discharged u run the risk of damaging the batteries. The problem is sometimes batteries get what is called a memory charge, this means if u use your lawnmower for a short time than charge it and u do this repeatedly the batteries will only discharge for this sort time and will only charge for a sort time. Than if u need it for a big job it will seem that u have only operated it for a little time and u need to plug it in. The only way to fix the batteries is buy new ones, that way they always tell u to always fully discharge before recharging your batteries.

The yard trimmer's battery won't take the charge. It charged overnight but I see the light is flashing red on the charger instead of green.

Time to replace the battery, most auto parts stores have battery testers to see if its bad or not.

No power

I think you should check the charging system. You said you replaced the battery a few weeks ago. Even with the charging system not working, the battery might have enough power for a dozen or more start-ups; but using the lights may have drained what power was left. Get or borrow a battery charger and charge your battery. If mower then seems to be working fine, measure the voltage across the battery when the mower engine is running at normal speed (not idling). It should be 13.5 volts or more if the charging system is working. 12 volts or less means it's probably not working. Either test or replace the regulator/rectifier. Please rate me if you think this helped, thanks!

Black&D'er CMM1200 24V is running very slow unable to chew grass

Sounds like a battery problem, you could have a defective cell which is causing a very low voltage to be sent to the motor which = slow spin.

Yes the charge indicator could be related.

You can take the battery apart and find out what type of cell it is and have it replaced...but personally I hate cordless lawn mowers for this exact reason so I would go but a manual push or a gas model.

I have the same problem with my CMM1000. We replaced the batteries but the problem persists. Does anyone have an idea of what the problem could be?

Black & Decker CMM1200 cordless mower - charger not working

Possibly the handle must e folder for it to charge. Possibly the on/off switch was on. More than likely it must be off to charge. Sorry that is all I can offer without seeing the mower in person.

Battery Charger displays green blinking light

This is likely a code from the computer system on the CMM1200 that the batteries no longer hold a charge. If you have a voltmeter, a "quick test" is to put the batteries on the charger for at least 8 hours and then test the DC voltage of the batteries. Test each battery separately by taking the cables off and testing the battery at the positive and negative lead. If they read less than 11.5 volts, you need a new battery set. You can get replacements from www.batteryinternational.com/universal-battery-ub12180-batteries-by-brand-universal-battery-nb.html. The model you have requires two of these batteries. Hope this helps.
