Overheating is most probably caused by low air flow past the heating element. High air flow would not allow the air to overheat. Check to be sure the fan is rotatingn freely and then check the heating element/wires for dirt or other obstructions. We were having "burning" problems that were revealed to be an errant latex glove that excaped from my wife's pants pocket during an earlier drying cycle. When it hit the elements, it began to cause a scortching smell and partially melted. In this instance, the air flow about the element was restricted and the reamining air overheated and the sensor sounded. When the sensor sounds, heating ceases and you will get non-uniform drying. I picked off the pieces of the glove from the wires and except for an unrelated drive belt breaking, we have not had problems.

Bosch axxis wtl 5410 dryer takes too long to dry.

You should have a cycling thermostat. this is most likely bad or your dryer vent may be clogged. Something is cutting the heat off before it gets hot enough. Both these cause this problem.

Bosch Axxis WTL5410 condensation dryer does not heat up

Common faults -
1 The heating elements can fail (meaning open circuit)
2 There are cut-outs (T.O.C's) that might need resetting
3 The thermostats (stats) can trip out or burn out (meaning opencircuit)
4 Moderntumble dryers also have sensors and pcb's (Printed circuitboards) thesehave programs that can fail and circuitry although most should produce an errorcode showing you were the fault is.
5 Faultyconnections and burned wires may also be the fault.

This isn't an add its two different units that I have installed and are both condensation dryers. Which in my opinion is better for your needs and lacking venting.....LG and Miele also have 15 cycle so now the decision is what your needs and Budget. Prices range from 700-1500 but well worth the money. Bosch Axxis Condensation Dryer (model: WTMC8320US) you can machine-dry clothes without venting hot, moist air (or indeed any air at all). The Axxis Condensation Clothes Dryer condenses the moisture in the hot air to water and releases it through the water the need for ducting and a blower motor to help expel hot air. Ventless dryers make installation easy, fast, and very cost effective. And since little heat is lost when the air passes through the condensing chamber, it takes very little energy to raise the temperature back to optimal drying levels, thereby saving you energy. The Bosch Axxis ventless dryer features the unique DUO TRONIC system with 11 auto dry cycles that tailor the drying cycle to your clothing. And Bosch's exclusive DUO TRONIC system combines two moisture and three temperature sensors to automatically deliver precision drying. Bosch Self Venting

If you're asking about the Condensation - No Venting Required feature:

I've had one for about 4 years with no complaints. I have used plenty of traditional dryers -- even models with moisture sensors. In all of them, it was common to find clothing that was "hot to the touch" when finished.

Every Bosch load finishes with a hint of moisture. I believe this is the Bosch "anti-wrinkle" standard -- but have never used one of their vented dryers. Even a 10 min fluff seems to add a hint of moisture to the load. Either way, you can't throw everything in the laundry basket and leave it for a week.

Europe is short on McMansions -- favoring tiny old homes without proper laundry rooms. Ventless is the norm -- rather than the exception over there. The Bosch works as advertised --producing a trace amount of ambient moisture and/or heat.
Mildew can be an issue -- depending on the dryer's location -- and the areas relative temperature / humidity.

Functions best in a fully climate controlled indoor location.

Bosch Dryer venting

i think you will find that one of these caps should be off and preferably connected to a vent hose to go outside the house. the reason they are blowing off is that the air has nowhere to go
