Holy cow, anyone else notice this?
My system used to be able to play Unreal at a silky smooth frame rate with
my good ol' original SBLive! card. Once I switched over to the Audigy
however - man o man! The performance is completely jittery. And it's all
games, not just unreal. As soon as I disable the Audigy in the device
manager, poof! Silky smooth performance again.
Has anyone else noticed this behaviour? If so, was there any fix, or do I
have to wait for better drivers?
Regards,
Lost in Thought.

After all the trouble and strife with the SBlive and PCI bus issues
I can't believe they didn't get their act together for their followup
product.
What is it that prevents creative from engineering proper
PCI-friendly soundcards I wonder?

fine on both my Win98SE and XP.
The reason why you hear static, Joseph, is probably because you set the
sampling rate too high in device controls under audioHQ. Try bring it
down to 48KHz.

how to do it in my ASCII editor.
Is there a way to fix the interrupt problems with the Creative cards? I
bought an Audigy to replace the Live I had, but it still has static.

Either you uninstall the drivers for audigy and then sblive, or reformat
and reinstall your OS again.
Creative website also has the latest update for audigy cards.

I noticed some incredibly annoying problems with an Audigy while simply
playing videos on a PC ... I took it out and replaced it with a USB
sound card, which worked perfectly, so I don't really know what a good
"fix" would be other than that :)
