I have an MSI KT4AV MB with onboard Realtek. I have loaded the latest MSI drivers and the Realtek website drivers several times and still have the problem. When I check control panel's sound and audio icon none of my audio devices are loaded. Everything is grayed out. When I check the device managers realtek properties it says the audio devices can't be found. I have just made a fresh new Windows XP Home install. Can one load the devices any other way except reinstalling the audio driver? Any help with getting the audio working would be appreciated. Thanx! no sound after pc crash and restore. Have tried lots of suggestions from net sources but no positive results. I have same problem as most. . messages as: mmjd wave out not supported all selections greyed out Audio is Realtek AC'97. I have no ikon for sound by clock on right of pc Not been able to find anyplace to download new or updated drivers. Thanks
Well,
This is the last piece of solution I can give you, in case you already knew it, please ignore.
Your motherboard has a 6-channel non-HD audio, consequently you might have probably downloaded drivers meant for 2 or 4 channel or HD ones.
The appropriate driver for your motherboard is
Realtek ALC650
you can download it here:
http://drivers.softpedia.com/get/NETWORK-CARD/REALTEK/ALC650-v349-02092003-Win-98-ME-2k-XP.shtml
Since it is just 6MB , I suggest you give it a try as a last option.
Hope it help !

Hi,
A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Good luck!
