Question about Flat Panel Televisions

1 Answer

Registered warranty My television has a pink screen most of the time. The picture comes and goes. Also the television turns on and off on its own once it has been turned on. Does my warranty cover this? Is there something I can do to fix it here. I have my serial #, etc... Thank you for your help.

Why does the picture keep going pink on my new seiki tv

This is a warranty problem and is caused by a faulty connector or solder joint.
Don't delay, warranties are getting shorter all the time.

Pn60e530 Samsung plasma tv when turning on screen flashes pink then goes black Sound is on no picture

screen drive on back of the screen has gone. they do over heat. the pink is the plasma lighting. replace the screen driver board and should be fine, when replacing put a bit of heat sinc on the top of the 2 or so chips big square ones on the board should help it last longer.

Sound stays on, but no picture- goes black and stays that way.

This unit should still be under warranty and should be taken in for warranty service. Any attempt to access the interior will void the warranty. It is important that a complete description of the problem like you entered here be taken along when you bring the set in for service. This will insure that the servicer be able to reproduce the problem and resolve it.

From your description (and as a servicer), I would be looking for a component that is heat sensitive. These types of problems are fairly easy to locate and resolve.

Please take this in for warranty service and update this when you find out the details.

Thanks,
Dan

No picture, but still displays light

Sounds like a dead screen you'll need to get it repaired. Check if it is still in warranty.

Pink lines only down the middle of the screen aprox. 12" wide for spit second.

Most likely will get worse as you are describing a failing control bd. The part # is 6871QCH038A and is a fairly complicated repair. A good deal of disassembly required, and I would take advantage of your service agreement.

Pink screen or scambled picture when turning on tv to watch dvd

I have seen several LG plasma that have a pink picture and everytime it has been a failed control pwb. This bd is located under the assembly that houses the main digital bd. The main dig. bd is the one with all of the inputs.

Pink screen

When the "pink screen" happens on my Polaroid FLM-1911 TV, I unplug the power cord from the back of the unit, wait 30 seconds, and replug it. This fixes the problem.
