Hi, I am Steve, lets get you some help
When you say you tried to change the fan I am guessing you did not manage to.
The computer has very few moving parts inside it so not much that can cause noise.
You have 2 real options

  • It is coming from the speakers/sound jack and something is wrong with the sound card. Cheek this by unplugging the speakers.
  • The fan is is the other option - firstly clean the fan and the air vents to see if that helps - if not replace the fan assembly.

Hope this helps.

Dell optiplex 760 tower fan noise problem

Its important to try and distinguish where exactly the noise is coming from the most typical example of this is the PSU fan (Power Supply Fan). The above also is very correct but its better to eliminate each point of failure.

Sir how two install a audio driver for dell optiplex gx 520?

If you go to this site, you can get all of the drivers for the Optiplex GX 520. Please make sure you select the correct version of Windows that you are running (Windows XP, Vista, or 7). Then, select "Audio" from the drop-down list, and download the driver for ADI 198x Integrated Audio.

If you're running Windows XP, you can just click here to go directly to the driver download.

Once you download the driver, just double-click the file to start the installer.

I have dell optiplex gx 520, it gives no display, it gives 6 long beeps, all capsitors are in good condition.

remove all your RAM and insert 1 by 1 into the dimm slots (power on each time to see which slot is faulty)... try this for each RAM module to see which is still good
