Guess I wasn't clear enough. I want to add a channel that the auto programing will not pick up. The reason is that I must re-aim the antenna to receive certain channels but I don't want to go though the channel setup every time after I re-aim the antenna. I want all of the channels in my area programmed to come up.

How to tune in Channel 60 in a Sony Triniton CRT?

assuming that you can "pick up" channel 60..and that the signal is strong enuff...that is part one..make sure you have a good antenna connection and that the antenna is positioned for maximum pick up, then do the scan mode on the tv via the remote control. it will re scan the channels and if the signal from channel 60 is being picked up strong enough, it will program the channel into your set automatically.

Run channel auto scan

The auto scan feature scans the various channel frequencies looking for a signal. Weak signals may be picked up on one scan and missed on the next. Check your antenna or add a antenna power booster and try again.

I have a RCA LCD TV model no. RLC3708A and when hooking it up when I took it out of box, I got to

I think you are confusing the channel on the tv and the channel of the cable company that is not something that you can pick up with the scan tv, scan tv is good for picking up local channel meaning air channel that we get with a antenna only not the cable chanel

In just bought new Toshiba regza 40" Lcd tv and auto tuned it, but the picture is terible , snowy and colours are not good, what to do...

Hello
First of all reset the TV. for that

press and hold the POWER button
on the TV control panel for 5 or more seconds to reset the TV.
Then connect the TV tt any source like outdoor areiel or cable box etc, select the appropriate input, and retune the TV. First of all, connect it to an external antenna, and set it to autotune.

You must configure the ANT/CABLE input source before

programming channels (-left-hand column).

If the ANT/CABLE input signal type is set to Cable, the

automatic channel programming process erases channels

that were previously programmed into the TV's memory.

If the ANT/CABLE input signal type is set to Antenna, the

automatic channel programming process adds newly found

channels to the existing set of programmed channels (and

does NOT erase channels that were previously

programmed into the TV's memory.) To remove an Antenna

source channel from the memory, you must manually delete

it.

To tune the TV to a channel not programmed in the channel

memory, you must use the Channel Number buttons on the

remote control.

Programming channels when the ANT/CABLE input is

configured for Cable will take substantially longer than when

the antenna input is configured for Antenna. This is normal;

however, once channel programming is finished, you should

not have to repeat the programming process again unless
your Cable TV service lineup changes significantly.
Find out the received channels are clear or not. If they are clear, your TV is perfect, and the input device you connects ot the TV is faulty. OK.

Only picking up one digital channel

digital air signals are weak and fussy. They are easily lost by having trees or large buildings in the way too.
The best thing to do is install a long range roof top antenna and re program the set. Be sure to aim the antenna correctly. if you cannot use a roof top antenna you can try the indoor digital antennas, but less likely to work consistently

I HAVE A DIGITAL ANTENNA AND I WHEN I DO A CHANNEL SCAN IT'S NOT PICKING UP ALL THE CHANNELS HOW DO I GET ALL THE CHANNELS

It has to do with the distance and direction of the different TV station antennas. You have to have a strong enough antenna, and you have to aim it at the TV station's transmitter.

Promblem installing converter box

Well, I guess you will be learning spanish to enjoy those two channels.

Actually you need a stronger antenna. Go to a home improvement store and get a outdoor antenna, that should solve your problem. Check Antennaweb.com to see were to aim the antenna at. The digital channels are mainly moving over to the UHF signal band thus make sure you get a antenna that picks up booth uhf and vhf. These run less then 100 dollars. There is no such thing as a digital antenna thus do not fall for that nonsense that large electronic retailer are pushing. You might as well burn some of your hard earned cash.

Toshiba 26AV502U Won't Pick Up Channels

Hi albertogiler, I am happy to help, you will need to attach a antenna to the tv to pick up OTA over the air signals, depending on your location you may be able to use a set of rabbit ears, I have provided a link to a site that will explain in depth. http://www.antennaweb.org/aw/welcome.aspx
Let me know if this helps and please rate this solution. lone99star
