If u want to install this older version,first uninstall any later versions that are in your computer

What version of Office are you installing?
Method: 1
Unregister and Re-register Windows Installer
Press Windows key + R, in the Run Window type 'msiexec /unregister' without quotes and click on OK.
Press Windows key + R, in the Run Window type 'msiexec /regserver' without quotes and click on OK.
NOTE: There is a single space in between 'msiexec' and '/'.
Method: 2
Verify if an older version of Office is currently installed on the computer.
Browse to the location below and check if you find any edition of Office installed on the computer:
Click on Start, Control Panel, Program, Program and features
If you find an older version of Microsoft Office listed in Program and Features, you may uninstall the older version of Office from the computer using the article below:

1. For Office 2007: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/928218
2. For Office 2003: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/290301
Once the uninstallation is completed you may restart the computer to install Office 2010 and check if Office installs successfully.

- install a fresh copy of yahoo messenger

Is there a old copy of Nero 8 or such like older versions installed on your computer? If this is so, try uninstalling the older version first from your computer, restart your computer, then install the newer version of Nero 9. If this solution didn't help you.. then let us know again by replying on this post so that we can give you other solutions to help you most.

go to the control panel >> add or remove programs>> ...then uninstall ur songbird' all versions... then restart ur computer then try to install songbird 1.8....

you might have and older version of adobe flash player installed on your computer.

Check it, and if you have try to uninstall it first before dowloading your new version

- Add/ remove programs

then uninstall the older version

use this link and download and install the latest version

try to uninstall the software and then clear the registries using a registry scanner then try to install the later version. If this dosnt work use an antivirus or a spyware remover
