Restart into safe mode either F8 or F12 depending on your computer just get to the safe mode feature, button when you restart keep pressing it until it loads. Once there go to run type in MSCONFIG click it then go to restore computer and go to a date earlier than a day or so ago and restore it. I hope this assisted you without the hassle of doing a full system restore. You can access through the back door which is SAFE MODE. Then you can go in and restore back to a earlier time. Or if you know where the problem came from get rid of the software as well you know that caused the problem. Be sure to dump cookies and history each day as well. John

There is a really good scanner for virus what you can do is go to the address bar and then type in www.pctuneup.pctuneup.googlepages.com and then once this page opens up look for an option that says MALWARE BYTES.Click on it and you willl get the run save cancel dialogue box ,click on save and then save it on the desktop.Once its saved click on the saved exe file and then run it ,follow the setup wizard and then once you get to the main screen for malware bytes click on full scan .It will run for a very long time and then once it complets it will show you the files infected then at the bottom left click on show infeceted ,all the infections will be listed then click on remove seleccted and then once it is done will prompt you to restart the computer .

all the best(This scanner is the best in removing any kind of infections )

A program has logged itself on to my computer and everytime i go to a web page it pops up and states virus site. and then pops up a page that says download there file for 59.99 to get rid of the program....

Go to
http://download.cnet.com/3001-8022_4-10804572.html?spi=c24f329de6cd155fbe4dfd23f4422193

Obviously from another computer with internet access, and try putting in on a flash drive then installing it on the infected computer and when Malware Bytes starts up, go to the Update tab and click Check For Updates. This will update Malware Bytes to be able to kill more recent threats.

If that doesn't work:

1. Download that program and save it to a flash drive.

2. Boot your computer up in "Safe Mode With Networking" by repeatedly pressing F8 while the computer is booting.

3. After you are in Safe Mode, install the program from your flash drive onto the computer and run a full scan, this should eliminate any threats.

Good Luck :)

Hard drive message

Probably the hard-drive has gone bad.. First try a complete re-install of windows (you will lose all saved data on the hard-drive, so if you can, back up all important files first)..

If that doesn't work, you need to purchase a new hard-drive
