Try a restart.
if that dosnt help
take it to a tech and they should be able to fix it
my guess would be that the signal from the motherboard
is not getting to the keyboard
because of the coffie

Sadly unless you get a power indication from the laptop showing that power is still getting to the laptop, it probably is dead

Drop coffee on the keyboard, and don't have power

This has happened to me ... with a friend's computer nonetheless!!! Unplugged the laptop right away (including the battery) so as not to cause more damage. The newer laptops I found out come with a spill guard under the keyboard to protect for these kinds of accidents. I wiped up as much as I could with paper towels and then I flipped it over and let it dry ... and waited ... and waited ... I waited until the end of the day because I wanted to make sure everything was dry before plugging it back in. It worked. I cleaned the keys off with a damp cloth. The keys sticked a little bit at the beginning but it's been a year and everything is still fine. :)

Toshiba R100 keyboard not working

I did the same some two years ago, with the R100 on. I switched everything off, dismounted the computer body (not the screen)up to the last screw, and dried that sweet coffee from everywhere where I found it. Mostly this was the keyboard and mouse. The motherboard is luckily protected by some plastic sheet.

Regarding the keyboard, after disconnecting it from the motherboard, I washed it completely under flowing water and then let it dry for several days. In the meantime, I used a USB one. Since then, I used the same keyboard for two years until now, when it died, apparently rather from some motherboard-related reason than water. So I think - you may get a new keyboard, but if youre lucky, you may as well revive this old one.

Your Keyboard is most likely to be screwed. A drop of coffee is enough to damage it. You will have to replace the keyboard. cleaning will work onlly if something is obstructing you from pressing the keys.

The keyboard should be removed and contacts and connectors cleaned with circuit cleaning solution. If keyboard is still defective after treatment it must be replaced. Keyboard is not an expensive part, it costs $60.
I suggest having the job done by a qualified repairman.

Worked when I powered down my pc now it does not - happened before

a bad chip in the keyboard usually causes this problem. Replacing your keyboard with a new one is the thing to do
