The ringer has to be on first. Usually the unit announces the caller’s name after the 2nd ring. If you turn on the answering system and set the ring count to “2” the unit does not announce the caller’s name. Set it for more than 2 rings for name announcement.

Need ringer on uniden ex14246

With the phone in standby mode (not talking, not doing something in the menu, etc), press vol-up or vol-down. The phone will sound the different ring tones at different volumes. To turn the ringer off,
select "Ringer Off". When the phone sounds the ring tone and volume you wish to use, press the end key.

Sakar talking caller id doesn't work!! ringer doesn't work, have it on. taking caller id doesn't work. Need someone to help with this.

Did this just suddenly happen? If it did, unplug both the phone line and the power supply for about 5 minutes. The transformer needs to be unplugged from the wall. This is a common "reset" procedure for digital electronics which tend to lock up.Welcome to modern technology...lol.Plug everything back in.Digital is almost anything which can be programmed and a few other things such as your phone, video game consoles, modems,on and on.Whenever you have a problem of lock up or no power try doing this first. If this doesn't work, just comment here and I will get an autolink and reply ASAP.
Good luck,Greg

Phone

The ringer switch is on the back of the base next to the phone line connection that plugs in to the wall.
To set the clock, time and talking ID feature press the set button and then the up and or down button to the right of the keypad for your selection (above the hands free button)

I e-mailed Sakar International and got this response...

"We are sorry for the difficulties you are facing with the phone.

We suggest you unplug the phone and remove the batteries from the phone. Connect the phone back and insert the batteries after 10 minutes and check if the problem persists.

Thank you for using Sakar International, the leader in technology."

I haven't tried it yet.
