How to configure netgear router with hp laser jet pro L7380

you need not to configure the router. It seems that you wan't to connect the printer as a network printer through netgear router. In this case you need not to do anything with the router. Simply connect both the router and printer via a UTP cable crimped with RJ 45 on both end and give a static ip in the printers settings and that will become a network printer. Just take care about the subnet mask and other gateways they should be the same as your local network is using.

Hmmmm, that is very strange that the manufacturer would put the port on the motherboard and not provide support for it. Yo have set your BIOS properly, correct? ... and there is no issue with the drive being too large, correct?

How to connect laser printer

You can connect the printer to a USB port. If your printer does not support USB connection you may have to purchase a converter (see image)

Hear some any beeps to your motherboard. If your hear this beeps then motherboard will identify what is the loss connection of trouble of your MOBO.

I cant install hp laser jet 1018 on this board

Hi h_kanani1366,

It doesn't sound like your problem is with the printer, it sounds like your problem is with the USB drivers for the motherboard. Look in Control Panel and click on System, then click on the Tab that's says Hardware, From there click on Hardware Devices, and when it opens look down on the Systems configuration area and look for a ! in a triangle. If you find one then the problem is the driver. You'll need to go to the manufacturer's site for that Motherboard and download a new USB controller driver, or sometimes there call Chipsets drivers. And that should fix your USB port, if the drivers aren't the problem, then could have a faulty motherboard. Try putting something else that you knows works into that same USB port to see if you get the same response. That will let you know if it's the motherboard, or it could be the Printer or the Cable that your using to connect to.

That's it my friend, there can be no other reasons I can think of.

Good Luck, and don't forget to leave a rating based on my solution.

Thanks Mark

Hp 2300 desktop

The message you saw has nothing to do with the installation of you're printer software. Please connect you're printer to the computer & connect the power as per manual. Click on this link.
http://www.hp.com/sbso/bussupport.html
Click the circle next to the sentance; Download drivers and software (and firmware). Than click; Start Detection
HP will scan you're system.(There may be a couple screens where you will need to install a HP program & give permission screens). Once done HP will find you're connected printer & download the latest software for you're 2300 printer. Sit back & follow the instructions.

Good Luck!

Printer Problem

two possibilities, if you are in possession of the motherboard drivers you will need to install them as windows xp will be using generic ones and may not be suitable for your board, also try installing in a different usb port. The other is that the drivers you are using will probably be win 2000 and in your case it wont work with XP, so go to your printer manufacturer web site and download and install XP drivers.
