Check to make sure your Hot and Cold water lines from your supply are correctly attached to your Washer. They are labeled on the back of the machine, if you reverse them you should have a cold water rinse.

When I take my clothes out after washing them they are quite warm?? The final rinse is a cold rinse. So how is it that my clothes are warm when I take them out? Is this normal? never used to do it?

Without knowing what your machine is, I can only guess. Perhaps your machine has clogged cold input, and it's using hot because that's all it can get?
Maybe it always uses a little hot, and the cold is clogged or just not opening... Does it seem to be taking longer to fill than it used to?

Hot water barely comes out,

If you switched the feed hoses over and the problem reversed itself, cold has gone from fast to slow useing the hot water pipe and hot from slow to fast useing the cold water pipe then this would indicate a fault in the water supply from the hot pipe. What sort of pressure is coming from the hot pipe when not connected to the machine but filling in to a bucket? Are there any shut off valves before the pipe that supplies the hot water? Are they fully turned on? Any kinks in the feed pipe for the hot water? Has the hot water feed pipe collapsed internally? Change the pipe to check this and not just at the machine side.

My Inglis washer machine (#111-07) which we bought 2 weeks ago, doesn't use any hot water when set to the warm cycle (in between cold and hot), so i can only wash with entirely cold or superhot water...

Hi Elllie602 (!) from retired Englishman in SW France,

2 weeks old? Under guarantee/warantee? Get in touch with the vendor/shop!!!
Even if it takes only cold water for the warm wash (which is a bit daft- normally washers mix the hot and cold accordingly) and heats it, that is not how most hot n' cold washers work.

If this has assisted and/or clarified the situation for you please consider a 4 thumbs up on our rating.
Thanks and good luck!

The hot water not flowing into the washer and the cold water flows fine?

Let's think and work this one thru:

Your machine probably has several temperature settings, right?

So-- when you set it for COLD-- it fills at the normal rate?

When you set it for WARM-- does only COLD water still only come in?

And if you set it for HOT-- Nothing comes in?-- correct?

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Now lets get to the pipes in the back:
Is there a Laundry sink, or a hose or something nearby, so you can be sure you have HOT water to the Washing Machine?-- Is the Hot water flowing good and strong nearby the WASHING MACHINE-- WHEN YOU TEST IT?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

And the Valve is not shut at the Washing machine-- (Hot shut, but cold open?)

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
If you are sure that you have a good supply of HOT water to the machine,--- If you have tested that you actually have a good flow, -- say with the Hose removed, and you run the Hot water into the machine (by-passing the internal control valve!!)--
Then it sounds like: Either the control is not telling the internal solenoid valve to open-- or the valve needs to be replaced.
Do you want to attempt this repair-- or do you want to call for help at this point?
Let me know what you find-- and how far you want to go by yourself.
What is the acuwash sensor
Washer temperature sensors and water level settings
The temperature of your washer's water varies with your laundry care needs. Standard washer models typically feature three temperature settings: Hot/Cold, Warm/Cold, and Cold/Cold—and higher-end models often offer as many as six or seven temperature settings. Temperature plays a key role in the effectiveness of your detergent—pairing the right detergent with the right setting for your fabrics and soil is important, as this will help reduce damage, prevent detergent residue, and provide the best wash across fabric types. For the best fabric care, look for washing machines with automatic temperature control (ATC). A sensor will control water temperature and ensure cold washes are above 60 degrees (F) to dissolve detergents, and warm washes do not exceed 93 degrees (F) to help prevent shrinking and bleeding.
The amount of water you use for each load also affects washer performance. Doing laundry is a bit like a science project. You need to make sure you are using the right volume of water, with the proper amount of detergent based on the dirt level of the laundry being cleaned. Too much of one component can result in a less-than-perfect outcome. Standard washing machines allow you to select water levels for different size loads, but some models offer more water-level options. Washers with automatic water levels use sensors to determine load size and adjust water level for best cleaning and rinsing performance. You will generally find these options in higher-priced top-loading washers. A benefit of front-loading washing machines is that most come with this automatic water-leveling feature.
Whirlpool® AccuWash™ temperature control sensor provides a temperature-controlled wash.
this is an article from the whirpool website, u can get a manual printed or downloaded by going to whirlpool.com and going to owners center and typing in ur model number.......
I don't get any water!
Your problem is most likely caused by a bad water inlet valve. Go to http://www.partselect.com/PartDetail.aspx?Inventory=334646&SourceCode=6 this is the most common water inlet valve for Whirpool. They are getting $24.64 + shipping. This is very easy yo replace. It even comes with detailed instructions. The part is located on the inside of the back panel. Good luck
I DON'T GET WARM WATER, WHEN SET ON WARM, ONLY GET COLD
If the setting is only hot and cold, there will be no
warm water coming out. At warm setting if it is
present, it should give you warm water.
Whirlpool washing machine...only uses hot water
Make sure the hoses are connected correctly to the water valve on the machine. The connections will be marked with an "H" and a "C".
Given they are correct, most current washing machines have and auto temp feature on the water fill. It allows even cold water settings to bring in some hot water to make sure the water temp is hot enough to efficiently disolve your laundry detergant. The preset temps are usually around 75* for cold, and 105* for warm. Hot water comes in at whatever temp your household water temp is.
Washer was working fine! Moved washer to new house, and now it will run but only with hot water. put washer on Auto controll, and cold cold or warm cold setting, and it wont even turn on.
Have you tried checking your cold water supply faucet? Are you sure there is cold water running out of that faucet before you hooked up the hose? Is it possible there is a shut off on the supply valve that isn't turned on? Therefore it will not run on cold water setting? This actually happened to me once. We went away for a week and turned the water off for the hot and cold supplys. Came back to do laundry and only turned the hot one on and not the cold. Good luck!
