One, is the disc scratched? Two, What Game? Three, Try unplugging the power cord from the wall and Wii, and wait 10 minutes, and plug it back in. Should Work Like new.

You can most certainly connect more than one console to a single TV. I would recommend calling a professional service. I own a shop in Central GA. You could find the manual on the internet by google. Im afraid that it's possible that it possibly broke the disc drive or the part of the drive that automatically loads and ejects the disc.
First turn the Wii console power OFF, and remove the AC adapter's AC plug from the power socket. Next, check wheather the disc is dirty or scratched. If it is dirty, gently wipe with a soft cloth from the center to the outside. Wait about 5 minutes. Then plug the AC adapter's AC plug back into the power socket and turn the console power on.
If the same message still appears, the Wii console may be damaged. Turn the Wii console off immediately. Remove the AC adapter's AC plus from the plug, and visit support.nintendo.com for additional troubleshooting or call 1-800-255-3700.
