Question about Xerox DOCUMATE 510 Flatbed Scanner
Hi we have a new Documate 510. It scans fine from the flatbed, but will not scan at all from the ADF. when we go to scan and select the ADF nothing happens. It doesn't even make a noise like it is thinking of it, though the ready light is on. How can this be fixed. We've tried everything.
If it is new, and not assuming there is a hardware problem with the scanner (some fault), might be a software problem. If the scanned image from the flabed is OK the drivers would be installed properly. You do not say which software you are using but when you have a "Professional" documentscanner and intend to use it for "production" scanning you need proper software also, To scan, to mix documents, rearrange pages, auto remove blank pages, deskew, produce small PDFs even when scanning color and so on. Look at PixEdit - it will do the job for you.
