Question about NEC Phones

3 Answers

My client has an NEC Electra Elite IPK II with Dterm 80 phones. One phone, when called from the outside, will not transfer to her voicemail. Can I program this from her phone? Also, she would like to have a call forward button programmed. Can you help? Thank you.

How to divert calls

You can forward all to another extension or to an outside number. You can also forward busy/no answer to both of those, but then it'll cancel your busy/no answer to voicemail. Speaker 41 plus ext or 9 plus outside number will set CF ALL, speaker 43 will set CFBNA, 42 and 44 to cancel. These are the default codes for NEC pro II, Elite, and IPK. The DTP phone also works on other systems that have different codes.

These phones work on about 8 NEC systems, but for a PRO II, an Elite, and an IPK, the standard code is Feature,80, Feature from one of the two main reception extensions. Don't know the code for a 2000, 8100, or IPK II.

What steps do I take to change the time on my NEC DTERM 80 phone system? I have already tried the Feature+9+# as well as the Recall+728 but those do not work. The first gives me an error message.

NEC Electra Elite IPK
  • 1 Press the "Feature" key on the phone system's main terminal. This is one of the Dedicated Feature keys and is located at the bottom left hand corner of the keypad.
  • 2 Dial 9# to enter the clock setting menu.
  • 3 Enter the hours and minutes using the key pad. For example, if it is 12:15, you would press "1," "2," "1," and "5."
  • 4 Press the "Recall" key on the bottom left hand side of the phone key pad to toggle between AM and PM.
  • 5 Press the "Feature" key to exit the system.
NEC Electra Elite IPK II
  • 1 Press the "Speaker" key located at the bottom left of the phone key pad.
  • 2 Dial "728" to enter the phone's clock menu.
  • 3 Dial the hour using two digits. Use military time for any time in the afternoon. For example, 1:00 AM would be "01," but 1:00 PM would be "13."
  • 4 Type the minutes using two digits ranging from "00" to "59."
  • 5 Press the "Speaker" button to set the time

Have NEC D term 80 phone without manual

The manual is here.

NEC doesn't call it the "Dterm 80 manual," but that's it. It's titled "Electra Elite IPK II Multiline Telephone User Guide."
