I am trying to change a toner cartridge. There was a message several days ago that said toner was low, replace cartridge. I have a message on the printer that says "black empty replace?" I select, then a message says "cannot rotate cartridge." If I select that, it goes back to "black empty replace? and so on.
The same problem about the tab on the door breaking off. This eliminated the carosel from rotating. Well the tech support directed me wrong and sent me Mother boards and skematics to tear down the and open the whole unit. It never went back correctly so never worked again. I only needed to fix the door tab all along. Now I have a broken Konica Minolta with $600 in unused wasted cartiages. I should buy a 2350 that works then I'll be set with bone yard parts from the other lousey 2350
When the front door is open, it locks the 4 cartridges so they can not move. The tab is flimsy & I broke mine on the second or third change. It pushes on a mechanical switch just above the toner port. If you broke the tip of the tab off, you can use a drywall screw inserted into the Mechanical switch. when the door closes the bigger part of the tab will push the screw against the switch,

Kindly open the delivery door and back side of the printer. Check the space between metalic roller and the plastic with the help of a pin or something thin like ruler. Probably a pin or stappler might be stuck there just remove it. your printer will work fine. Secondly check that if any plastic is burnt or melt over there if so then use something rough to make it plain.
I have a Konica-Minolta Magiccolor 2400 W. It wasn't used very often roughly less than 150 pages in 2 or 3 years. So I do not believe that I reached the capacity of this device. Now it says the black tomer is empty and need to be replaced. If one have a look at it: it is without any free place at the roll. So there must be nough tomer in it.
Please is there anybody who can provide an idea how I can set the information of this toner to zero again?
your printer is laser printer change toner cartridge right,
you may try
1) Open the front door and remove the toner cartridge. 2) you will see a small round hole near the colour toner cartridge
3) hold a screwdriver in that hole and the carousel will rotate freely. 4) Move the carousel round and remove each one of three cartridges at a time.
set back all cartridge close door.
It depends on the model. The 2300 series using a mechanical mirror on the cartridge itself. A tab needs to be moved the mirror slid back to home. The 2400 series & newer uses an IC that you need to replace. when you buy your toner to refill the cartridge make sure you get the IC with it.
I just got done replacing my toner. You'll need to change toner and most likely all of them. There is no other solution. I refill mine by buying the bottle toners. It can be messy and you'll need to take some parts off the cartridge to get to the opening plug and reset the lever so that the printer knows the cartridge is full. It is cheaper than buying a toner. The cartridge has a life of about three refills. Anyway hope this answers your problem.
