1986 toyota landcruiser - auto box - quick chance setup kit for valve plate

Dear Sir,

My 1986 landcruiser have been changed to accomodate a chev 350 V8, with various other convertions. the 350 is driving through the original auto box, no problem but my top speed is not great at all. (100 - 120 km per hour MAX)
i think that the bottleneck is at the box, the motor is 100%. i have ample pull away power but no top end (Only looking for another 30 - 40 odd km per hour) - coulod you please assist?

regards
Reinier Fourie

Fitting an overdrive auto or a 5speed manual transmission will give a little more top end ......or..... fit larger tyres. V8 should have enough torque to cope well at lower speeds.

2003 Landcruiser wont select Drive

This is a electronically controlled gearbox, so the first thing that must be done is to have the Transmission control module scanned for faults codes.

Have a 1986 F-350 A/C puts out cool air but not cold. Don't know if system is R12 or 134A. Compressor is centr and has 2 threaded black caps with schrader valves for gage connection plus 1 quick disconnect...

in 1986 it is r12 but you can convert to r134 which is a ton cheaper than paying for r12 you need a license to buy r12 r134 is right on the shelf at auto zone they also sell retro fit kits with everything you need to convert your system and they work very well

6.5Lchev diesel to a ford ZF 5 speed gear box

You will need the Chev pressure plate to suit the Chev flywheel and a clutch plate to suit the Ford ZF gearbox. Ford ZF throwout bearing and clutch fork should be fine.
