Most likely there is a short in the output stage. This would mean changing the output IC's and most likely the damaged support compoenents and driver devices.
The Alpine service rep can fix this for you. Some serious troubleshooting will be required.
The cause of this type of faulure is usualy from the following:
- Short on the speaker wires, either to ground or to each other.
- Damaged voice coil or crossover causing too much loading.
- Power surge due to poor voltage regulation.
- Playing the unit too loud and having clipping (distortion) in the sound. This usually also damages the speakers.
